Even with the Ravens win, they lose. Shortly after beating the Rams on Sunday with a last-second field goal, the team announced that quarterback Joe Flacco's season is over because he suffered a knee injury.

Specifically: Flacco tore his ACL, and there could be more damage, pending an MRI scheduled for Monday.
Test immediately after game indicated tear for Flacco's ACL and likely MCL. Will have MRI Mon to gauge exact severity. Expect long absence

Flacco was injured on the penultimate play of the game, when a Ravens offensive lineman accidentally rolled into Flacco's knee. Now the question becomes when will Flacco return to the field.
Best case for Flacco may be a return right around the start of next season but this could be an injury that carries into 2016....

Carson Palmer tore his ACL in a January 2006 playoff game and came back to start the season eight months later. Not only that, he finished the '06 season as one of the NFL's best quarterbacks. (Palmer also tore his ACL last November and returned in time for the start of the 2015 season where he is -- you guessed it -- one of the league's best quarterbacks.)
For now, the Ravens will turn to veteran Matt Schaub, who hasn't started a game since the 2013 season, and hasn't played well on a consistent basis since 2012. More bad news: The Ravens also lost running back Justin Forsett to a broken arm, and left tackle Eugene Monroe left the Rams game with a shoulder injury.
