No player has sacked Matt Ryan more times than New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan. Ryan was sacked 23 times by Jordan in his career, the most ever by a single player in league history (since sacks became an official stat in 1982).
Ryan, who was traded to the Indianapolis Colts on Monday, won't be facing Jordan twice a season anymore -- as he did with the Atlanta Falcons. Jordan was able to sack him 23 times in 22 games, or 21.5% of his career sack total (107 sacks).
Once Ryan was traded to the Colts, Jordan had to make a joke regarding his prior success of getting to Ryan.
Do we play the colts?!? What’s the @Saints schedule 😒👀🥺 pic.twitter.com/7HF27sza7k

The Saints won't be playing the Colts until 2023 -- and the game will be in Indianapolis. Based on how the Colts have rotated Week 1 quarterbacks since the start of the 2018 season, there's no guarantee Jordan will even see Ryan when the two teams square off.
Ryan's final game in a Falcons uniform was against Jordan and the Saints. Naturally, Jordan had a sack on Ryan -- the final one of a 2021 campaign which featured 12.5 sacks and 22 quarterback hits. Regardless of Jordan's dominance of Ryan, there will be respect for Ryan on his end.
Gettin all these texts from folks 😂😥 like I need time to process…I guess I’m happy for him if he’s happy.. If that’s what he wanted… and what’s best for him… @AtlantaFalcons & MATTY ICE & #Levelz are in NFL history we’ll always have that 😶 farewell to black&red #2 pic.twitter.com/zgFHahfPmA

Jordan will have the opportunity to extend his record in 2023 -- or he can be traded to the AFC South so he can face Ryan twice a year again. If Jordan does get to the Hall of Fame someday, he can thank Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons offensive line for the help.
