Could a Super Bowl between Tom Brady and his former team the New England Patriots and former coach of two decades Bill Belichick be in our future? Former Patriots star Julian Edelman thinks so. In fact, he's so confident this could happen that he put a $100,000 bet on a Patriots-Buccaneers Super Bowl.
There are many Super Bowl combinations that could happen, but if No. 11 has picked the right one he would cash in over half a million dollars.

Edelman broke the news of his major bet to his parents, who did not seem totally on board with his financial decisions.
"Mom, don't get bad. I just put $100,000 for the Pats to play the Bucs in the Super Bowl."
His dad, Francis, responded in disbelief, saying, No, you didn't do that ... you put $100,000 on that?"
When he confirmed that he really made the bet and that he would win a lot of money if it happens, his mom asked him to share some of the wealth if his predictions come true.
"Oh, I don't care about that, right on. You should share it with me," his mom Angie said.
Francis chimed in saying, "that was dumb."
His mom asked if that is the only reason he called, to which Edelman said, "that's the only reason I called you. And I love you."
His dad ended the phone call saying, "I'll call you back, I'm not mad. I disagree. Bye." All Edelman seemed to hear was that he was not mad, choosing to brush over his disappointed tone.
As of right now, a Patriots-Buccaneers Super Bowl is still very possible, and both teams are playing on Wild Card Weekend. According to Caesars Sportsbook, Tampa Bay (+360) has the second best odds to win the NFC, and New England (+900) has the fifth best odds to win the AFC.
The Buccaneers will take on the Philadelphia Eagles, a team he has defeated and lost to in the Super Bowl, this weekend. The Patriots will take on divisional rival the Buffalo Bills.
Edelman has said he is a Patriot forever, but would he root for his former team or his BFF?
