Josh Norman isn't at the NFL combine. His measurables aren't up for debate this week. He is, however, in the middle of contract negotiations with the Panthers. Norman, who emerged as one the NFL's top cornerbacks this past season with four picks, should be in line for a significant payday in the near future.
On Friday, Norman showed off his measurables anyway -- just in case anyone still has their doubts. He did so at a charity basketball game, soaring for a monster block and using a finger wag to celebrate.

Don't worry, Panthers fans -- you probably won't be losing that guy, as it certainly doesn't like Norman will be allowed to test free agency. On Wednesday at the combine, Panthers general manager Dave Gettleman commented on talks with Norman, indicating that a deal will get done. And if not, there's always the franchise tag.
Panthers met with Josh Norman's agent here in Indy. Not much progress on a deal but talks expected to continue, sources say. Tag candidate.

"I'm not in the business of developing players for other teams," Gettleman said. "For some reason, it just doesn't make sense. We're going to try to get a deal done. If not, there are other options and maybe the tag gets used. Josh is a pro. He's a pro."
