If Tom Brady's looking to add someone to his support group, he should give Colin Kaepernick a call.

Kaepernick took to Twitter on Friday to show his support for the embattled Patriots quarterback.

Although Brady has plenty of support from his teammates, Kaepernick is probably the most notable active NFL player -- who doesn't play for the Patriots -- that has come out in support of Brady.

It's not a complete surprise that Kaepernick has come to Brady's defense. The 49ers quarterback was raised in Turlock, Calif, which is less than 100 miles from where Brady grew up in San Mateo.

After Kaepernick and the 49ers beat the Patriots in 2012, Kaepernick admitted that he was a fan of Brady's.

"Tom Brady is somebody I've always watched, someone I’ve always admired, so to come out here and get this win means a lot," Kaepernick said at the time

Kaepernick and Brady also something else in common: They both led their team to a Super Bowl after their starting quarterback went down during the season.

The Brady bandwagon is slowly starting to fill up. Besides Kaepernick, Brady also has Chris Christie and the Mayor of Boston on his side -- plus every Patriots fan alive.

On the other hand, there's a lot of people who aren't supporting Brady, like DeAngleo Williams, Kyle Long, Torrey Smith and Browns coach Mike Pettine
