J.J. Watt is awesome at football. He's also awesome at birthday parties. After a birthday-morning workout (natch), Watt and 20 of his teammates and closest friends celebrated his 27th year on the planet with a little laser tag (natch).

"Can't ask for much better of a birthday than being surrounded by over 20 of your teammates and closest friends, everyone wanting and willing to work towards one common goal," Watt wrote on Instagram. "Putting in the work in the morning, then some tactical laser tag tonight like some little kids. Can't beat it. Surround yourself with good people, be good to them and everyone lifts each other to new heights. Be willing to put in he work to get where you want to be, don't forget to have some fun along the way and live a life you can both enjoy and be proud of. Fortunate to have so many good people in my life."

Days before, Watt had flown his teammates -- including Jadeveon Clowney, Kevin Johnson, Cecil Shorts, Brian Cushing, and Shane Lechler -- from Texas to his Wisconsin cabin where they did some training, rode some ATVs and partook in the aforementioned laser tag.

Not sure about Watt's laser tag stats, but (in case you somehow forgot) his football stats remain jaw-dropping.

He's also appreciative of all the love:

And save your breath, haters. Watt ain't listening.
