It's an unlikely marriage, but it's a real one (in the very-much-actually-not-real and figurative senses): 49ers Jim Harbaugh and reality TV adjudicator Judge Judy. Harbaugh said at the NFL Combine that he's a huge fan of Judy's work and her honesty.
And now he's appearing on her show on Monday:
49ers coach Jim Harbaugh expressed his love for Judge Judy at the combine, citing the importance of truth in her courtroom in response to media members asking about being lied to by draft prospects during interviews.
"When you lie in Judge Judy's courtroom, it's over," Harbaugh told reporters at the NFL combine in Indianapolis. "Your credibility is completely lost, and you stand no chance of winning that case. So I learned that from her. It's very powerful and true.
"If somebody lies to you, how can you trust anything they ever say after that?"
So, naturally, getting to go backstage and actually meet Judge Judy has to be a dream come true for the 49ers coach.
I'm fairly certain the show will air on Monday, but there aren't any different notations on my DVR. Which means I'm just stuck recording all of them.
After all, trust but verify.
