Harrison retired earlier this season after a visit to the Cardinals -- he played for the Bengals in a reduced role last season -- but is nearing a new deal with the Steelers, where he spent the bulk of his career.
Pittsburgh is without starting linebackers Ryan Shazier and Jarvis Jones indefinitely, and are expected to announce Harrison's signing this week.
