Arkansas Razorbacks coach Bobby Petrino is currently under "administrative leave" after misleading the public about a police report that eventually led to the discovery of a "previously inappropriate relationship" with a 25-year-old staff member.

It's a sordid situation and it could cost Petrino his job at Arkansas. He took that job in 2008, after bolting a 3-11 Atlanta Falcons, leaving only a laminated note in the locker room to explain his departure. At least one member of his old team believes Petrino's getting a dose of "karma" now.

"That's karma," former Falcons defensive back Lawyer Milloy told Pete Thamel of the New York Times. "Just because he knows Xs and Os that doesn’t mean he’s a nice person."

There's a pretty good chance that many members of the Falcons would agree with Milloy's statement. Petrino joined the Falcons just months after signing a 10-year (!), $25.6 million deal with the Louisville Cardinals, in January of 2007. The Falcons struggled without the recently-arrested Michael Vick and were 3-11 in December of 2007, when Petrino bolted for the Razorbacks.

Petrino's introductory press conference at Arkansas was ... something:

Of course, it's not like this is the first slightly unscrupulous thing Petrino did in business dealings: Yahoo Sports' Pat Forde did a great job of running down all of Petrino's job-related shenanigans from the past on Thursday night.

So perhaps Milloy has a point here.
