And then there were two. Panthers quarterback Cam Newton and Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman are the last men standing in the annual battle to determine who will grace the cover of EA Sports legendary "Madden" franchise.

"Madden 15" featured a return to a more traditional bracket (no legends like last year, etc) chock full of the young talent from around the NFL.

Fans can vote over at ESPN here through Friday June 6, with the winner announced this coming Friday evening during the 6 p.m. ET edition of SportsCenter live from LA LIVE Plaza in Los Angeles.

Newton dominated Steelers wideout Antonio Brown in the first round, handled Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles in the second round and squeaked by Colts quarterback Andrew Luck in the semi-finals to meet up with Sherman.

Sherman might be the most fitting face for this. He exploded onto the world scene after the NFC Championship Game and is as big a star as it gets in the NFL these days thanks to the Seahawks' Super Bowl win.

To get to the finals, he toppled Bears wideout Alshon Jeffery, Saints tight end Jimmy Graham and, in absolutely fitting fashion, beat out 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick in the semifinals.
