This is a warning: Do not believe anything anyone tells you today, because, if you haven't yet noticed, it is April Fools' Day. This is a day many take the opportunity to prank people in their lives.

Athletes and teams get in on the fun, too.

Former New England Patriots star Julian Edelman is retired, and has been adamant that he would never play for a team other than the Pats. However, some have speculated he could reunite with quarterback and BFF Tom Brady in Tampa Bay. Edelman knows this, so No. 11 knew this was this was the perfect year to attempt to convince people he was joining the Buccaneers.

Edelman tweeted, "Onto the next chapter," with a photo of him with a graphic that says, "Breaking, Buccaneers signing Julian Edelman."

If you look closely, there is an asterisk that says, "April fools." You almost got us, JE11:

The Buffalo Bills are also getting in on the fun, "announcing" a new-look jersey that is a big leap from their traditional colors. The team tweeted a photo of an orange, red and black uniform, writing, "Introducing our 2022 city jerseys. #BillsMafia They're delicious."

They added a link, which if you click on brings you to an actual page about the jerseys. That page explains how the jerseys are inspired by something near and dear to the city of Buffalo: chicken wings.

"The black helmet with a red stripe down the middle and yellow facemask features the Bills' logo made completely out of wings, and ranch, of course," the Bills joked.

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James almost got me with this one (since he has missed 21 games this season due to injury), tweeting, "I'm out for the season officially. See y'all in the fall."
