Jaden Ivey: Let go by Chicago
The Bulls waived Ivey (knee) on Monday, Jake Fischer of BleacherReport.com reports.
Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times reported earlier Monday that the Bulls were working on an exit strategy from Ivey following anti-LGBTQ comments he made on social media, and he has since been waived. The fifth overall pick by Detroit in the 2022 NBA Draft, Ivey was acquired by Chicago ahead of the trade deadline. However, he appeared in just four games (three starts) before being shut down for the remainder of the campaign due to left patellofemoral pain syndrome, finishing with averages of 8.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 18.1 minutes per contest across 37 regular-season outings. He was limited to just 30 regular-season appearances in 2024-25 due to a broken left fibula and missed time at the beginning of this season after undergoing arthroscopic right knee surgery. He was set to be a restricted free agent before this move and will now have to explore other opportunities.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Season ends early
Ivey (knee) will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 season, Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic reports.
With Ivey still managing pain in his left knee and the Bulls out of the playoff picture, the team will shut down the guard early. Since joining the Bulls from the Pistons, Ivey appeared in four games with averages of 11.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 2.0 three-pointers in 28.8 minutes.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Won't play Wednesday
Ivey (knee) is out for Wednesday's game against the 76ers.
Ivey, who was questionable for Chicago's last contest before getting ruled out, won't even draw a questionable tag this time around. His next chance to return comes Friday against the Thunder.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Won't play Monday
Ivey (knee) will not play Monday against the Rockets.
Ivey, who has been sidelined since mid-February, was unable to shake his questionable tag for this contest. He's progressing, however, and a return against the 76ers on Wednesday could be on the table.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Questionable for Monday
Ivey (knee) is questionable to play Monday against the Rockets.
This is the first time that Ivey has received the questionable tag since going down with a left knee issue in mid-February, indicating he's on the cusp of making his return. Ivey will likely have some strict limit on his minutes once he's cleared to play, but his return would mean less playing time available for the likes of Rob Dillingham and Collin Sexton.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: To miss at least one more week
The Bulls announced Monday that Ivey (knee) will be re-evaluated in one week.
Ivey, who hasn't made an appearance since the All-Star break due to left knee soreness, is progressing well but won't be available for at least Chicago's next three contests. With Anfernee Simons (wrist) joining Ivey on the shelf, Tre Jones and Collin Sexton (lower leg) are both worthy of streaming consideration in most fantasy leagues.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Won't play Monday
Ivey (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's matchup with Memphis.
Ivey recently went through a full practice with Chicago's G League affiliate, which suggests he could be nearing a return. However, that won't come Monday, and with Wednesday's game against the Raptors being the first of a back-to-back set, it seems unlikely he'll be cleared for that one. Once Ivey does get back to the court, he'll likely have some strict minutes restrictions, so he's a tough guy to roster in fantasy leagues at this juncture in the season.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Cleared to practice in G League
The Bulls assigned Ivey (knee) to the G League's Windy City Bulls on Friday and immediately recalled him after he took part in practice with the affilliate.
Ivey's ability to practice in the G League signals that he could be nearing a return to action after the Bulls opted to shut him down shortly after the All-Star break due to left patellofemoral pain syndrome. Prior to missing time, Ivey had appeared in just four games for the Bulls following his acquisition from the Pistons at the trade deadline, averaging 11.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.0 three-pointers and 2.0 steals in 29.0 minutes per contest. Both Ivey himself and head coach Billy Donovan had acknowledged that the 24-year-old guard had lacked the explosiveness he had displayed during his first three seasons in the league before fracturing his leg in January 2025, but Donovan expressed confidence Friday that Ivey would eventually return to form after a "period of time," per Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times. Ivey is slated to work out with the Bulls on Sunday, but he'll most likely remain out for their next game Monday versus the Grizzlies.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Won't travel with team
Ivey (knee) won't travel with the Bulls for their upcoming five-game road trip, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports.
While Ivey could meet the club at some point, this update makes it sound as though the guard will remain out for the length of the road trip, which is scheduled to conclude March 13 in Los Angeles. Head coach Billy Donovan noted that Ivey will remain in Chicago to work on strengthening his leg, per Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic, with the hope that he'll be able to take the court again this season. If Ivey doesn't appear during the road trip, his next chance to suit up would arrive March 16 against Memphis.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Out for at least two weeks
Ivey will have his left knee injury re-evaluated by medical staff in two weeks.
Ivey is dealing with pain in his left knee, and the injury is severe enough for the fourth-year guard to be sidelined for an extended period. He was acquired by the Bulls from the Pistons in early February and has averaged 11.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.0 threes and 2.0 steals over 28.8 minutes per game in four outings (three starts) with Chicago. Ivey's absence means Collin Sexton, Tre Jones and Rob Dillingham should all take on expanded roles off the bench behind backcourt starters Josh Giddey and Anfernee Simons.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Removed from rotation Thursday
Ivey (coach's decision) went unused off the bench in Thursday's 110-101 loss to the Raptors.
After being acquired from the Pistons on Feb. 3, Ivey had started three of the Bulls' final four contests before the All-Star break and averaged 29.0 minutes per contest over that stretch. He was expected to see his playing time get squeezed to some degree coming out of the break with the Bulls bringing back guards Josh Giddey (hamstring) and Tre Jones (hamstring) from multi-game absences, but Ivey's removal from the rotation entirely was surprising. A pending restricted free agent this summer, Ivey could still get a longer evaluation at some point as the Bulls look to determine whether he's part of their future plans, but it may take the team being without another guard before he gets his next opportunity. Per K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network, head coach Billy Donovan said Friday that he supported acting head coach Wes Unseld Jr.'s decision not to play Ivey on Thursday, with Donovan noting that the 24-year-old "has not moved and played as he did in the past" coming off surgery last January to repair a broken fibula in his left leg and another procedure in October to relieve discomfort in his right knee. Ivey's tepid production upon making his season debut in late November was likely a factor in the Pistons' willingness to move him ahead of the trade deadline.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Iffy for Saturday
Ivey (knee) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Pistons.
Ivey is dealing with pain in his left knee and is in danger of missing the front end of this back-to-back set. The 24-year-old guard wasn't included in the rotation during Thursday's loss to Toronto, so his potential absence shouldn't cause any significant waves.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Removed from lineup last second
Ivey has been replaced by Collin Sexton in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Celtics, per the broadcast.
Ivey was slated to start Wednesday's game, but Chicago made a last-second change that moved Sexton into the first unit in Ivey's place. It's unclear if Ivey is dealing with an injury, but the sudden nature of the change doesn't inspire positivity.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Checks in Wednesday
Ivey (undisclosed) checked into Wednesday's game against the Celtics with 6:19 remaining in the first quarter, per the broadcast.
Ivey was announced in the starting lineup ahead of tipoff, though Collin Sexton ultimately got the starting nod. However, Ivey doesn't appear to be dealing with an injury and should be good to go for the remainder of the contest after checking in.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Serviceable production continues
Ivey registered 13 points (3-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds, three assists, one block and three steals in 24 minutes during Monday's 123-115 loss to Brooklyn.
Ivey cobbled together another strong performance, at least relative to what he has produced thus far this season. In three games since joining the Bulls, Ivey has averaged 12.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.7 steals and 2.3 three-pointers, having started all three games. The eventual return of Josh Giddey (hamstring) and Tre Jones (hamstring) will complicate things, but until then, Ivey should be rostered in most leagues moving forward.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Logs three steals in Bulls debut
Ivey registered 13 points (5-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt), six assists, four rebounds and three steals over 33 minutes during the Bulls' 123-107 loss to the Raptors on Thursday.
Ivey was acquired by the Bulls from the Pistons on Wednesday and was given the green light to make his debut with Chicago on Thursday despite the short turnaround. It's also worth noting that he was in the starting lineup for just the third time this season after starting in the majority of his games with Detroit in the three years prior to the 2025-26 campaign. The Bulls' backcourt is crowded with the likes of Josh Giddey (hamstring), Tre Jones (hamstring), Collin Sexton (recently traded) and Anfernee Simons, so what Ivey's role will look long-term remains to be seen.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Starting Thursday
Ivey will start Thursday in Toronto.
Ivey will immediately be thrust into the first unit in Chicago, and it'll be Anfernee Simons, Isaac Okoro, Matas Buzelis and Jalen Smith joining him in the starting lineup for Thursday's game. Ivey wasn't able to establish himself in the offense in Detroit, but he'll get some time to shine with a change of scenery in Chicago.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Will play Thursday
Ivey (recently traded) is available for Thursday's game against the Raptors, Michael Grange of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Ivey was dealt from the Pistons to the Bulls on Tuesday, and the team has since announced that he'll be ready to make his Chicago debut Thursday evening. Ivey averaged 7.8 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists in his final 10 games with Detroit, all off the bench.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Likely to make Bulls debut Thursday
Ivey (recently traded) is probable for Thursday's game against the Raptors.
Ivey was traded to the Bulls in a three-team deal Tuesday and was initially listed as questionable for Thursday's game. However, it now appears likely he will make his team debut and could see heavy minutes, as Chicago will be shorthanded after a busy deadline. Ivey has played more than 22 minutes only once this season, as he works his way back from a broken leg last year.
