Wong was waived by the Jazz on Tuesday, Tony Jones of The Athletic reports.
Wong was previously on an Exhibit 10 contract with the Jazz but was considered a long shot to make the team. He's expected to play for Salt Lake City in the G League this season.

Wong agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract with the Jazz on Monday, Sam Amico of HoopsWire.com reports.
Wong was selected by the Pacers with the 55th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft and spent most of last year in the G League. He averaged 14.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 27.0 minutes per game over 30 appearances in the G League and will attempt to carve out a role with the Jazz during camp this year. However, it wouldn't be surprising to see him land back in the G League this season.

Wong was a bright spot for the Pacers in the team's Summer League finale, posting team-high marks in scoring and assists. The 22-year-old will likely spend most of his time with Indiana's G League affiliate with guards Tyrese Haliburton, Bennedict Mathurin and Andrew Nembhard likely to get most of the run with the parent club.

Wong played four seasons at Miami, putting up averages of 16.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.6 triples in 2022-23. A 6-foot-4 guard, Wong may struggle to find playing time despite the rebuild in Indiana, as Tyrese Haliburton is the face of the franchise and T.J. McConnell is one of the most reliable backups in the NBA.
