Kings' Drew Eubanks: Undergoes surgery, out for season

Eubanks underwent successful surgery to repair a torn UCL in his left thumb Wednesday and will miss the remainder of the season, Sean Cunningham of Fox 40 Sacramento reports.
Eubanks will end his 2025-26 campaign with averages of 5.2 points and 3.0 rebounds per game. The 28-year-old big man should be healthy by training camp next season, but he'll be looking for a new contract as a free agent this summer.

Eubanks closed Thursday's 133-123 loss to the Pelicans with 15 points (7-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-3 FT) and 11 rebounds in 22 minutes off the bench.
It was the first double-double of the season for Eubanks, and his first in the NBA since 2022-23. The journeyman center is getting a bigger look in the frontcourt rotation with Domantas Sabonis (knee) and De'Andre Hunter (eye) both done for the season. Eubanks has played double-digit minutes in three of the last four games, putting him on the radar as a punt play in DFS.
Eubanks (coach's decision) went unused off the bench in Friday's 137-103 loss to the Warriors.

Eubanks logged just six minutes, the fewest he has played since the third game of the season. Following a knee injury to Domantas Sabonis, Eubanks was inserted as the starting center for eight straight games. However, a lack of production has basically seen him fall out of the rotation, with rookie Maxime Raynaud supplanting him in the starting lineup. Based on recent events, there is no reason to be holding Eubanks outside of the deepest formats.
Eubanks accumulated two points (1-3 FG, 0-1 FT), one rebound and one block in 10 minutes during Wednesday's 121-95 loss to the Rockets.
