  • Thunder's Jared McCain: Hits for 18 in Saturday's win

McCain closed with 18 points (6-15 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 2-3 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one block over 28 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 132-111 win over Washington.

It's the third time in the last four games that McCain has delivered at least 15 points, The second-year guard has been a fairly consistent threat from long distance in March, draining at least three three-pointers in six of the last nine games while averaging 12.8 points, 2.9 threes, 1.8 boards and 0.8 assists in 19.1 minutes and shooting 44.8 percent from beyond the arc.

  • Thunder's Jared McCain: Leads OKC off bench

McCain posted 26 points (9-16 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, two assists and two blocks over 28 minutes during the Thunder's 121-92 win over the Nets on Wednesday.

The Thunder led by as much as 42 points during Wednesday's blowout win, which resulted in McCain and the rest of the reserves seeing more time in the second half. The second-year pro took advantage of the extra court time, scoring a season-high 26 points, which was his highest scoring output since Nov. 22, 2024 as a member of the 76ers, when he scored 30 points (also against the Nets). McCain has been a steady presence off the bench for the Thunder since he was acquired from the 76ers in early February. He'll have opportunities to serve in an expanded role in games for which Oklahoma City is down players, as was the case Wednesday with Luguentz Dort (rest) and Isaiah Hartenstein (calf) both unavailable.

  • Thunder's Jared McCain: Sees 12 minutes in win

McCain registered six points (3-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and two rebounds across 12 minutes during Tuesday's 113-108 victory over the Magic.

McCain is a very small part of Oklahoma City's rotation, but he may see more action Wednesday against Brooklyn -- Luguentz Dort is one of several players who will get the night off Wednesday. Since joining the Thunder, McCain is shooting 43.2 percent from the field.

  • Thunder's Jared McCain: Notches 13 points in win

McCain chipped in 13 points (4-7 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound and one assist in 22 minutes during Monday's 129-126 win over the Nuggets.

Ajay Mitchell was back in action for the Thunder and already looked to be in elite form. McCain is going to have to settle for a modest workload with the second unit most nights, making him a volatile fantasy asset in deeper formats.

  • Thunder's Jared McCain: Hits for team-high 20 in win

McCain chipped in 20 points (8-15 FG, 4-9 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and two steals over 25 minutes off the bench during Tuesday's 116-108 victory over the Bulls.

With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (abdomen) back in street clothes, McCain stepped up to lead the Thunder in scoring on the night. It's the third time in the last seven games the second-year guard had produced 20-plus points, a stretch in which he's averaging 14.4 points, 2.9 boards, 2.3 threes, 0.9 assists and 0.9 steals in 20.7 minutes from the second unit.

  • Thunder's Jared McCain: Nets 20 points with four treys

McCain finished with 20 points (6-16 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds and two assists across 30 minutes during Wednesday's 124-116 loss to the Pistons.

McCain got off to a slow start Wednesday, going scoreless through the first half of action while missing all four of his shot attempts. However, he completely flipped the script after halftime and finished with a decent stat line. If Isaiah Joe (glute) needs to miss Friday's game against the Nuggets, McCain could see an uptick in minutes and an expanded role on offense.

  • Thunder's Jared McCain: Logs season-high 21 points in win

McCain amassed 21 points (7-12 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds and one steal across 23 minutes in Friday's 105-86 win over the Nets.

McCain scored just two points on 1-of-3 shooting from the field in the first half, but he saw increased burn in the second half and made the most of the opportunity. The second-year guard ended with a team- and season-high mark in points, scoring 20-plus for just the second time on the campaign. The 22-year-old has scored in double figures and made multiple three-pointers in three straight games. While he may not have as clear of a path to significant minutes once the backcourt returns to full strength, McCain is certainly making a case to maintain a meaningful role when Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (abdomen) and Ajay Mitchell (abdomen) return to action.

  • Thunder's Jared McCain: Plays well off bench

McCain had 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt), four rebounds, one assist and two steals over 22 minutes during Wednesday's 136-109 win over the Suns.

This was McCain's best performance since joining the Thunder, giving him a confidence boost ahead of Oklahoma City's final game before the All-Star break. The Thunder could look a lot healthier after the break, and it will be interesting to see how the rotation shapes up.

  • Thunder's Jared McCain: Fades injury report

McCain (recently traded) isn't listed on the injury report for Saturday's game against the Rockets.

McCain was traded to Oklahoma City on Wednesday and is set to make his Thunder debut Saturday. The second-year guard will have plenty of competition for minutes when the team is fully healthy, though he could see increased burn right away due to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (abdomen) and Ajay Mitchell (abdomen) being sidelined.

  • Thunder's Jared McCain: Heading to OKC

The 76ers traded McCain to the Thunder on Wednesday in exchange for a 2026 Rockets first-round pick and three second-round picks, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

McCain will get a fresh start following an injury-riddled beginning to his career. The 21-year-old guard got out of the gates hot during his rookie season before undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee in December 2024. The Duke product later underwent thumb surgery in September 2025 and missed time to begin the 2025-26 campaign. Once healthy, he struggled to carve out a consistent role behind Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe. Now, McCain will provide backcourt depth for Oklahoma City, competing for minutes with the likes of Cason Wallace, Ajay Mitchell and Nikola Topic (groin) once he returns. However, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (abdomen) is set to be re-evaluated after the All-Star break, so McCain could see increased playing time right away.

  • 76ers' Jared McCain: Drains four treys in win

McCain logged 12 points (4-7 FG, 4-6 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist in 17 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 124-114 victory over New Orleans.

It was another impressive shooting effort from downtown for McCain. The second-year guard has drained at least four three-pointers in three of four games since returning from a G League assignment, averaging 12.3 points, 3.3 threes, 2.0 assists and 1.8 boards in 19.8 minutes during that span while shooting a blistering 59.1 percent (13-for-22) from beyond the arc.

  • 76ers' Jared McCain: Paces second unit in win

McCain produced 17 points (6-8 FG, 5-6 3Pt), three assists and one rebound over 24 minutes during Tuesday's 139-122 victory over the Bucks.

McCain made his second appearance following a five-game span in which he logged just one minute, and he impressed in the second half of this back-to-back set. After scoring 16 points in Monday's loss to Charlotte, the second-year guard chipped in 17 points Tuesday, leading the bench in scoring. He set a new season-high mark in triples and has knocked down at least four in back-to-back outings. While he isn't guaranteed significant playing time on a nightly basis, performances like these bode well for him moving forward.

  • 76ers' Jared McCain: Recalled to NBA

Philadelphia recalled McCain from the G League's Delaware Blue Coats on Friday.

McCain is back with the parent team despite having been assigned earlier Friday. However, the young guard hasn't played a big role in Philadelphia's rotation over the last month and is likely to be on the bench for the next few matchups. He has made only one NBA start over the 2025-26 season and is averaging 6.1 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.7 steals per contest.

  • 76ers' Jared McCain: Returns after rough G League outing

The 76ers recalled McCain from the G League's Delaware Blue Coats on Monday.

McCain will suit up for the 76ers in Monday's game against the Pacers, but after falling out of the rotation in the team's most recent game Friday against the Cavaliers, he may not be in line for playing time unless Paul George (knee) -- who is listed as questionable -- ends up sitting out the front end of a back-to-back set. The second-year guard didn't make a compelling case for rejoining the NBA rotation after a rough showing in the G League on Sunday. During Delaware's 126-102 loss to the Noblesville Boom, McCain was held to 15 points (5-18 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and posted a 0:6 assist-to-turnover ratio in his 30 minutes of court time.

  • 76ers' Jared McCain: Moved to G League

McCain was assigned to the G League's Delaware Blue Coats on Saturday, Kyle Neubeck of AllPHLY.com reports.

McCain failed to check in to Friday's matchup against the Cavs after evidently falling out of the rotation. This move is likely an attempt to get the second-year guard back on track and to continue his development while he struggles to carve out a role at the NBA level.

  • 76ers' Jared McCain: Drops out of rotation Friday

McCain (coach's decision) went unused off the bench in Friday's 117-115 loss to the Cavaliers.

McCain had been trending toward falling out of head coach Nick Nurse's rotation for a while, as the second-year guard had been limited to just 10 minutes or fewer in each of his previous five appearances. With the 76ers keen on opening up extended minutes off the bench for both Quentin Grimes and a healthy Kelly Oubre, McCain could have difficulty regaining a regular role on the second unit when Philadelphia is at full strength. After a promising rookie season that was cut short by knee surgery, McCain was sidelined to begin the current campaign while recovering from thumb surgery and has struggled to return to form upon debuting in early November. Through 30 appearances, McCain is averaging just 6.3 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 17.3 minutes while shooting 35.4 percent from the field and 32.3 percent from downtown.

  • 76ers' Jared McCain: Sees just 11 minutes

McCain finished Wednesday's 131-110 victory over Washington with two points (0-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) in 11 minutes.

The 76ers had their entire roster available Wednesday, and the return of Kelly Oubre is likely to spell trouble for McCain. McCain is averaging just 15.1 minutes over his last four contests, and he can be safely monitored from the waiver wire for the time being.

  • 76ers' Jared McCain: Struggles in victory

McCain ended Tuesday's 139-136 overtime win over Memphis with two points (1-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt), four rebounds and one assist over 13 minutes.

McCain played just 13 minutes, the fewest he has played since Dec 7. Outside of a few encouraging performances, McCain has been largely disappointing this season, averaging just 7.4 points, 1.0 steals and 1.2 three-pointers in 19.4 minutes per game. At this stage, there is no reason to roster him outside of deeper formats.

  • 76ers' Jared McCain: Coming off bench Friday

McCain is not in the 76ers' starting lineup against the Bulls on Friday, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

McCain started Tuesday's loss to the Nets and finished with 10 points (3-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), nine rebounds, four assists and two steals over 39 minutes. However, the second-year guard will revert to a bench role Friday due to the return of rookie first-rounder VJ Edgecombe (illness).
