  • Raptors' Jonathan Mogbo: Starting vs. Miami

Mogbo is in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Heat, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports. The Raptors will start the game without a traditional point guard, so RJ Barrett is likely to be the one who orchestrates the offense. Mogbo will add size in the frontcourt alongside Jakob Poeltl. This will be the second career start for the big man, who's averaging 7.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.0 steals per game in his last five appearances off the bench.

  • Raptors' Jonathan Mogbo: Productive off bench Thursday

Mogbo closed with 17 points (6-10 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 4-6 FT), one rebound, one assist, one block and one steal over 23 minutes during Thursday's 129-92 loss to the Thunder. After suiting up earlier Thursday in the G League's Raptors 905's win over the Greensboro Swarm and playing 13 minutes, Mogbo ended up playing later in the evening for the nBA club. Even though he's more known for his defensive prowess than his scoring ability, he made his presence felt in the blowout loss to Oklahoma City. However, when Jakob Poeltl (illness) is available again, Mogbo is not likely to surpass the 20-minute mark with much regularity, limiting his fantasy upside to deeper formats.

  • Raptors' Jonathan Mogbo: Returns to Friday's game

  • Raptors' Jonathan Mogbo: Leaves game due to knee injury

Mogbo (knee) went to the locker room in the second quarter of Friday's game against the Heat, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Mogbo limped off the court after injuring his knee and went to the locker room shortly thereafter. Bruno Fernando and Chris Boucher will likely see an uptick in playing time while Mogbo is sidelined.

  • Raptors' Jonathan Mogbo: Quality outing off bench

Mogbo had six points (3-6 FG), seven rebounds, one assist and one steal over 19 minutes during Thursday's 110-105 win over the Timberwolves. Despite the return of Scottie Barnes (eye), Mogbo remained one of Toronto's primary bench options in frontcourt rotation. However, the rookie forward has tallied double-digit points in just two of his 16 appearances this season, and the Raptors assigned Mogbo to the G League's Raptors 905 on Friday, per Aaron Rose of SI.com. Mogbo was recalled to the NBA club ahead of Sunday's game in Cleveland, though his playing time may be limited moving forward.

  • Raptors' Jonathan Mogbo: Headed to G League

The Raptors assigned Mogbo to the G League's Raptors 905 on Friday, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports. Mogbo is averaging 4.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 15.7 minutes across 16 appearances for the Raptors in the NBA this season. The rookie forward should receive increased playing time while in the G League.

  • Raptors' Jonathan Mogbo: Good to go vs. Clippers

Mogbo (hip) is available for Saturday's game against the Clippers, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Mogbo was forced to leave Wednesday's game against the Kings due to a right hip pointer, but the injury isn't severe enough to be sidelined Saturday. Across nine regular-season games (including one start), the rookie second-round pick is averaging 6.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.1 steals over 17.7 minutes per game.

  • Raptors' Jonathan Mogbo: Probable for Saturday

Mogbo (hip) is probable for Saturday's game against the Clippers, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports. Mogbo exited Wednesday's loss to the Kings early due to a right hip pointer, though he will likely give it a go Saturday after practicing Friday. The rookie has appeared in nine regular-season games (one start), during which he has averaged 6.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.7 blocks across 17.7 minutes per game.

  • Raptors' Jonathan Mogbo: Exits early Wednesday

Mogbo has been ruled out for the remainder of Wednesday's game against the Kings due to a right hip pointer, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. He'll finish with five points (2-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists and a steal across 18 minutes Mogbo departed from Wednesday's contest with 9:21 left in the fourth quarter and didn't return. The rookie has been forced into a larger role with the Raptors while the team deals with a plethora of injuries. He's seen 15 or more minutes in seven of nine appearances. His next chance to play will come Saturday against the Clippers, the first leg of a back-to-back set.

  • Raptors' Jonathan Mogbo: Fills stat sheet Friday

Mogbo produced 12 points (3-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-7 FT), nine rebounds, five assists, three blocks and two steals over 24 minutes during Friday's 115-107 win over Philadelphia. Mogbo was limited to just 11 minutes in the season-opening loss to the Cavaliers, but he saw an uptick in his playing time Friday and made the most of the opportunity. The rookie second-round pick shouldn't be relied upon to post these kind of numbers on a regular basis going forward, especially once the Raptors get the likes of RJ Barrett (shoulder), Immanuel Quickley (pelvis), Kelly Olynyk (back) and Bruce Brown (knee) back from injury. However, Mogbo might have done enough through his first two games to make a strong case for holding down a regular spot on the second unit once the Raptors get some more healthy bodies back in the mix.

  • Raptors' Jonathan Mogbo: Defensive piece for 2024-25

Coach Darko Rajakovic said Thursday that Mogbo has impressed in training camp as a weak-side help defender, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports. Mogbo was selected with the No. 31 overall pick by the Raptors in the 2024 NBA Draft. While the rookie forward isn't slated to receive significant playing time, his defensive prowess could allow him the ability to see the floor earlier than expected.
