Reed put together a flawless performance Sunday, logging a game-high 26 points without missing a shot or committing a turnover. On top of an impressive offensive display, Reed was productive on the defensive end, sending back three shots and collecting three steals. With Detroit now entering the playoffs, Reed's role figures to decrease, but he enters the postseason in outstanding form.

Making his first start since Feb. 19 with Jalen Duren (knee) and Isaiah Stewart (calf) both unavailable, Reed delivered his third double-double of the season while scoring at least 20 points for the first time since Feb. 11. The 26-year-old center has chipped in double-digit points in five of the last eight games as he handles a bigger role in the frontcourt in Stewart's absence, averaging 12.1 points, 4.8 boards, 1.9 assists, 1.1 blocks and 0.9 steals in just 18.5 minutes over that stretch while shooting 58.5 percent from the floor.

Reed continues to play a secondary role despite the absence of Isaiah Stewart (calf), yet he was able to chip in across the board against what ended up being a favorable opponent. While he does have what might be considered elite per-minute upside, Reed simply isn't seeing enough of the court to be considered a must-add player. At this point, he can be streamed in when the schedule works in his favor, keeping in mind that Stewart is seemingly nearing a return.

Reed put together a nice stat line during Thursday's win, finishing as the Pistons' third-leading rebounder and second in points behind Cade Cunningham (42). Reed has started in each of the Pistons' last two games but will likely revert to a bench role against the Bulls on Saturday since Jalen Duren will be available to return after serving a two-game suspension. That said, Reed should see an elevated role off the bench in the short term as Isaiah Stewart (suspension) will not be eligible to return until March 3.

He delivered a dominant defensive performance while producing his best scoring effort since Nov. 12, when he erupted for a season-high 28 against the Bulls. Duren is set to miss only one more game, but Stewart has been shelved until March 3, so Reed should see elevated usage into next month. Reed played meaningful minutes, sliding into the backup center role after Jalen Duren was ruled out with a knee injury.
