Nets' Josh Minott: Pops for team-high 18 in loss
Minott recorded 18 points (6-12 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 2-4 FT), six rebounds and one steal across 26 minutes off the bench during Friday's 116-99 loss to the Lakers.
The 18 points led the Nets on the night, as Minott scored in double digits for the fifth time in his last seven appearances (one start). The fourth-year forward may not get many other starting opportunities this season, especially with Noah Clowney back from a wrist injury, but Minott appears to be carving out a significant role on the second unit. During those last seven games, he's averaging 15.7 points, 3.4 boards, 3.3 threes, 1.7 steals, 1.3 assists and 1.0 blocks in 24.4 minutes while shooting 53.1 percent from the floor and 51.1 percent from beyond the arc.

Nets' Josh Minott: Headed to bench

Minott ended with 15 points (5-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, two steals and one assist across 33 minutes during Monday's 134-99 loss to the Trail Blazers.
After being left out of the rotation in the front end of the back-to-back set in Brooklyn's 126-122 loss to Sacramento, Minott moved into the starting five Tuesday for the first time as a member of the Nets and came through with a strong all-around line. Over his last six appearances, Minott is averaging 15.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3.0 three-pointers, 1.5 steals, 1.0 assists and 1.0 blocks in 23.8 minutes per contest. While those numbers would make Minott worthy of rostering in nearly any format, the Nets' unpredictable usage of him makes it difficult to include him in fantasy lineups with much confidence. He's been a DNP-CD in four of Brooklyn's last 10 contests, and the Nets' decision on whether or not to play him in a particular game will seemingly hinge on both the matchup and which other players are available on a given night.

After going unused off the bench in Sunday's loss to Sacramento, Minott will enter Brooklyn's starting five for the first time this season due to the team being shorthanded in the second leg of this back-to-back set. Minott came close to matching the career-best 24-point output he had against the Hawks on March 12, and the four-year veteran is making the most of his expanded opportunities of late. Minott looks poised to suit up in Thursday's game against the Spurs, but with the Brooklyn roster at full strength, he's unlikely to be included in the rotation. Minott signed a two-year, $4.96 million deal with Boston this past offseason, including a team option for 2026-27. However, he'll now join Brooklyn and provide frontcourt depth for the rebuilding club. Minott fell out of favor in Boston and had appeared in just four games since Jan. 5. Over 33 regular-season outings (10 starts) for Boston, the forward averaged 5.8 points and 3.6 rebounds across 15.9 minutes per tilt.

Boston got by with a combination of Luka Garza and Amari Williams at center while the game was competitive before Minott checked in for the first time late in the fourth quarter, when Atlanta had built an 18-point lead to effectively salt the game away.
