Bulls' Josh Giddey: Done for season
Giddey (hamstring) will not play in Chicago's final two games of the regular season, per K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network.
Giddey will be sidelined for the remainder of the season as he continues to deal with a lingering hamstring strain. Head coach Billy Donovan confirmed Friday that Giddey -- along with Guerschon Yabusele, Nick Richards, Jalen Smith, and Anfernee Simons -- will be held out for the Bulls' final two contests against the Magic and Mavericks. Giddey's second season in Chicago ends with him appearing in only one of the team's final seven games. In his absence, Tre Jones and Collin Sexton (finger) will continue to handle primary backcourt duties and should remain high-usage options for the final weekend of the regular season.

Giddey will be sidelined for the fifth time over Chicago's past six games, and his final chance to suit up this season will come Sunday in Dallas. Collin Sexton (finger) and Tre Jones have been thriving in expanded roles, and that should continue as long as Giddey remains sidelined.

Giddey (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Suns, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports.
Giddey tried to play through his hamstring injury Friday in New York, but he posted six points (3-12 FG), five rebounds and five assists in 26 minutes during a blowout loss and will be sidelined Sunday for the second time in three games. The point guard's status for the final week of the regular season remains unclear, but in his absence, Collin Sexton should retain increased usage.

Bulls' Josh Giddey: Questionable for Sunday
Giddey (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Suns.
If Giddey needs to hit the sidelines, Collin Sexton would have a chance to return to the first unit, and there would be more minutes available for Rob Dillingham. Check back closer to Sunday's tip for official word on Giddey's status.

Bulls' Josh Giddey: Minimal impact vs. New York
Giddey provided six points (3-12 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 0-2 FT), five rebounds, five assists and two blocks over 26 minutes during Friday's 136-96 loss to the Knicks.
Giddey returned to the hardwood after a one-game absence due to a hamstring injury, but he didn't look good and delivered one of his worst stat lines of the campaign. Giddey was averaging 17.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 9.2 assists, 1.9 triples and 1.0 steals per game this season before this blowout loss Friday, so he clearly failed to live up to expectations in what turned out to be a 40-point loss for Chicago. It remains to be seen if Giddey will suit up Sunday against the Suns since the Bulls are already eliminated from playoff contention.

Bulls' Josh Giddey: Won't play Wednesday
Giddey (hamstring) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Pacers, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports.
Giddey was a late addition to the injury report Wednesday and will miss his first game since March 5 due to left hamstring tightness. However, head coach Billy Donovan said he can be considered day-to-day, per Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic. With the 23-year-old point guard sidelined, Rob Dillingham and Collin Sexton are candidates for expanded roles. Giddey's next opportunity to play will come Friday in New York.

Bulls' Josh Giddey: Triple-doubles in defeat
Giddey recorded 18 points (6-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 5-5 FT), 13 rebounds, 10 assists, three blocks and two steals across 35 minutes in Saturday's 125-124 loss to the Grizzlies.
After scoring just five points on 1-of-11 shooting from the field in a loss to Oklahoma City during the front end of this back-to-back set, Giddey bounced back against the injury-depleted Grizzlies. The 23-year-old point guard finished as Chicago's fourth-leading scorer and racked up his sixth triple-double on the month. He led all players in rebounds and assists, dishing out double-digit dimes for a fifth straight game. Giddey was also impactful on the defensive end, chipping in a career-high-tying three blocks en route to a season-high five combined steals-plus-blocks.

Bulls' Josh Giddey: Near triple-double in loss
Giddey produced 23 points (8-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 12 assists, nine rebounds and one block over 33 minutes during the Bulls' 157-137 loss to the 76ers on Wednesday.
Most of the attention during Wednesday's game were the returns of both Joel Embiid (oblique) and Paul George (suspension), which overshadowed the productive game Giddey put together despite the blowout loss. Giddey led the Bulls in points, rebounds and assists, and he was one board shy from recording his sixth triple-double in 16 games since the All-Star break and 13th of the regular season. He has been one of the few bright spots for the Bulls this season, and since March 1 he has averaged 17.2 points, 11.9 assists, 9.5 rebounds, 3.1 threes, 1.4 steals and 0.7 blocks over 35.5 minutes per game.

Giddey has now piled up double-digit dimes in seven of his last eight contests, recording six double-doubles as well. During that period, the star guard has averaged an excellent 16.5 points, 12.5 assists, 9.0 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 2.9 three-pointers in 36.5 minutes per game.

Bulls' Josh Giddey: Elite playmaking in loss
Giddey finished Thursday's 115-110 loss to Cleveland with nine points (4-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt), six rebounds, 19 assists, two blocks and one steal over 37 minutes.
Giddey struggled to find his scoring touch Thursday, failing to reach double digits for the second straight game. However, the versatile guard completely controlled the flow of the offense, racking up a season-high 19 assists. Giddey's playmaking and rebounding have reached an elite level recently; excluding a blowout loss to Toronto where his minutes were limited, he is averaging a staggering 14.0 assists and 10.8 boards over his last six full-run appearances. Despite the scoring dip, Giddey continues to be a nightly triple-double threat, maintaining season averages of 17.6 points, 9.0 assists and 8.3 rebounds per game.

Bulls' Josh Giddey: Struggles vs. Toronto
Giddey racked up nine points (4-13 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 0-1 FT), three assists and one steal over 27 minutes during Wednesday's 139-109 loss to the Raptors.
Giddey had a woeful shooting performance and looked completely overmatched in a 30-point loss, which resulted in him logging his fewest minutes since Feb. 24, when he played 26 in a 131-99 blowout loss to the Hornets. Giddey is averaging 15.6 points, 7.8 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game since the All-Star break, but he posted 18.6 points, 8.6 rebounds and 8.8 assists per contest before the pause.

Giddey continues to pile up triple-doubles, accomplishing this feat in five of his last seven appearances. The star guard appears primed to cap off the campaign on a high note after missing some time with a hamstring injury in February. Over his last seven outings, Giddey has averaged 19.0 points, 12.0 assists, 11.7 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 36.4 minutes per game.

The fifth-year guard came up a couple of boards short of his 11th triple-double of the season, and the 29th of his career, while the six made three-pointers were a season high. Giddey has dished at least 15 dimes in back-to-back games and has reached double digits in that category in four of his last five appearances, averaging a blistering 19.4 points, 12.2 assists, 11.2 rebounds, 4.0 threes and 1.2 steals since the calendar flipped to March.
