Kolek will return to the NBA club after he tallied 30 points (7-17 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 8-9 FT), 10 assists, six rebounds and two steals in 35 minutes earlier Friday in Westchester's 116-109 G League win over the College Park Skyhawks. Though he'll be available for the Knicks in Sunday's game against the Magic, Kolek isn't expected to be featured in the rotation.

Kolek, Matt Ryan and Pacome Dadiet were all assigned to the G League on Thursday morning but were recalled in the afternoon. Westchester didn't have a game, so the trio presumably practiced. The rookie hasn't played more than six minutes in an NBA game across four December appearances.

He suited up for Westchester earlier in the day in its 118-107 win over the College Park Skyhawks, finishing with 18 points (7-20 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, eight assists, two steals and one block.

Kolek led all the bench players in scoring and delivered a solid performance Friday, but that's not expected to change his role in the rotation. Miles McBride (rest) and Cameron Payne are ahead of him on the depth chart, meaning Kolek will probably see minimal minutes if he stays with the Knicks once the regular season begins. Starting the year with the Westchester Knicks in the G League isn't out of the question, either.
