Weatherspoon was playing with the Santa Cruz Warriors in the G League before signing a 10-day, hardship contract with Golden State late December, and he apparently impressed enough to warrant a two-way deal. He only appeared in one game for Golden State and is unlikely to be anything more than bench depth when up with the NBA club the rest of the campaign.
