When Russell Westbrook wants a free dessert, Russell Westbrook gets a free dessert -- even if it means telling a lie.
Westbrook appeared on a video posted to his wife Nina's Snapchat story, where he explained how to get a free dessert from a restaurant:
"This is what happens when you come to the restaurant, you're trying to get a free dessert. You lie, tell 'em it's your wife's birthday. Haha, woo! Happy birthday, sugar! You got free dessert babe!"

Westbrook is one of the more unique characters in the NBA, so it's really not much of a surprise that the Thunder guard would concoct a scheme like this to get a free dessert he could easily afford with the $26.5 million salary he pulled down this season.
It even looks like the pastry chef knew it was a scam, given the nearly illegible scribbling of "Happy Birthday" on the plate.
In times such as this, it's comforting to know that even multi-millionaire NBA players aren't above lying to a restaurant to get a free dessert. Hopefully he left a monster tip.
