  • Trail Blazers vs. Rockets over-under: 232 points

What you need to know about the Rockets

Shooting guard Jalen Green (23 points) was the top scorer for the Rockets on Friday as they claimed their second win in the last three games. It's a modest accomplishment, but Houston is looking for any signs of progress it can find as the Rockets enter this matchup with the league's worst overall record at 19-55.

Christian Wood leads the team with 18 points per game, followed by Green at 15.7. Green, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, should get plenty of opportunities down the stretch as the Rockets look to build around him going forward. He's averaging 19.1 points per game in March and he was the clear go-to option on Friday as he went 9 of 16 from the field and 5 of 10 from 3-point range.

What you need to know about the Blazers

Portland is still mathematically alive for a play-in spot in the Western Conference, but the Blazers, realistically, appear to be going nowhere. They've lost six of their last seven and the roster is decimated by injuries. Nine players are on the injury report with Damian Lillard (abdomen) and Jusuf Nurkic (foot) headlining the list.

Justise Winslow (calf), Josh Hart (knee) and Anfernee Simons (knee) are all considered day-to-day coming off the back-to-back. If Portland can get a couple of its scorers back, the Blazers should have a decent shot to at least keep it within the spread in this one.
