LOOK: Sixers reveal new logos
The Philadelphia 76ers have a new logo for the 2015-2016 season.

The Philadelphia 76ers revealed their new logos -- or, as they put it, their "new brand identity" -- on Tuesday morning. In true Sixers fashion, the idea was to introduce these logos in advance of next Tuesday's NBA Draft lottery. From the press release:
The team’s new primary logo is a modern interpretation of the classic Sixers insignia, stylistically redeveloped to include a patriotic blue border with six white stars and “PHILADELPHIA” adorned across the heading. The familiar white basketball has been visually updated with a positional rotation of the seams. The emblematic ring of 13 stars present in the primary, partial and secondary logos continues to represent the original American Colonies.
Honestly, anything resembling the classic 76ers logo is going to work, and this does. The secondary logo with the stars is a good look. I'm just a little confused about why the soccer-ish shield is becoming a trend in the NBA. The Washington Wizards recently unveiled a new logo with one, and the Toronto Raptors' new logo has a similar feel.
This isn't a drastic change, but Philadelphia didn't need one. What's more interesting is the fact that the Sixers will have new uniforms next season. Those will be shown off for the first time at an event on June 18.
