The Golden State Warriors typically have all the answers at home, but the Miami Heat are posing a tough problem. Either squad is in a position to win, but the Heat lead 82-81.

Point guard Kyle Lowry has led the way so far for Miami, as he has shot 6-for-8 from beyond the arc and has recorded 22 points and six dimes. Lowry does need to be careful, however, as he is in foul trouble with four.

Golden State has been relying on the performance of shooting guard Jordan Poole, who has shot 5-for-11 from downtown and has recorded 21 points, six assists and four boards.

Golden State hasn't lost 71% of the games in which they were down heading into the final period this season, so a win here would be refreshing.

What to Know

The Miami Heat will square off against the Golden State Warriors at 7:30 p.m. ET Wednesday at FTX Arena. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W.'

The point spread favored the Heat on Monday, but luck did not. They fell to the Philadelphia 76ers 113-106. The losing side was boosted by small forward Jimmy Butler, who had 27 points and six assists along with five rebounds.

Meanwhile, it was close but no cigar for Golden State as they fell 94-90 to the Orlando Magic on Tuesday. One thing holding Golden State back was the mediocre play of small forward Andrew Wiggins, who did not have his best game: he played for 36 minutes with 5-for-19 shooting.

This next matchup looks promising for the Heat, who are favored by a full 10 points. Those sticking with them against the spread have guts, to put it politely, as the team has let down bettors in their past four games.

The losses bumped both teams down to an identical 47-25. A couple defensive stats to keep an eye on: Miami have been holding their opponents to a field goal percentage of 44.40%, which places them fourth in the league. But Golden State is even better: they have been holding their opponents to a field goal percentage of 43.80%, which places them second in the league. We'll see if that edge gives Golden State a route to victory.
