Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki reached another milestone as he passed Alex English for 13th on the NBA's all-time scoring list on Monday against the Rockets. He scored 31 points on 11 of 18 shooting, including 1 of 3 from downtown, and 8 of 9 from the free throw line. He has 25,631 career points.

"Another great milestone," said Nowitzki, per ESPN. "Alex was an unbelievable scorer in this league in the '80s in Denver. Obviously wouldn't have thought that 15 or 16 years ago when I came here I was going to be passing him one day. Fun little accomplishment, but I think the win is more important for me tonight."

Nowitzki also chipped in with six rebounds, three assists, one assist and two blocks. He is averaging 23.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists over his last five games. He is shooting 51.4 percent from the field and 25.0 percent from beyond the arc over that span.
