The NASCAR Cup Series season will continue on Sunday when the 2025 Cook Out 400 is held at Martinsville Speedway. The 0.526-mile concrete oval is shaped like a paperclip and the tight corners make it one of the most exciting tracks on the NASCAR schedule. Ryan Blaney has won two of the last three races at Martinsville and is the +400 favorite in the 2025 Cook Out 400 odds, followed by last week's winner, Kyle Larson at +500. They're followed in the 2025 NASCAR at Martinsville odds by Denny Hamlin and Chase Elliott at +750. Christopher Bell is on the pole, and the latest Martinsville Speedway forecast is calling for mostly cloudy skies with temperatures in the 70s.
The green flag drops at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday and the race is scheduled for 400 laps around the "Half-Mile of Mayhem." Before entering any 2025 Cook Out 400 picks, NASCAR DFS lineups on sites like DraftKings and FanDuel, or locking in NASCAR props on sites like PrizePicks, Sleeper Fantasy, and Underdog Fantasy, be sure to see the latest 2025 NASCAR at Martinsville predictions from SportsLine's proven projection model.
Developed by daily Fantasy pro and SportsLine predictive data engineer Mike McClure, this proprietary NASCAR prediction model simulates every race 10,000 times, taking into account factors such as track history and recent results.
The model began its 2025 season by calling Chase Elliott to win for a +300 payout at the Clash at Bowman Gray and was also high on Byron as a +2000 longshot at Daytona. Then last week it predicted Kyle Larson's win in Miami for a +350 payout. In 2024, it nailed Larson to win in Las Vegas for a 21-5 sports betting payout and predicted Denny Hamlin's wins in Bristol at 5-1 and Richmond at 17-4.
It also impressively nailed five of Larson's wins during his historic season in 2021. All told, the model has nailed a whopping 20 winners since 2021, including nine in 2023 and three in the first seven races last season. Anyone who followed its lead on betting apps and sportsbooks on those NASCAR picks could have seen huge returns.
Now, the model simulated the Cook Out 400 2025 10,000 times. Head to SportsLine to see the complete projected NASCAR at Miami leaderboard.
Top 2025 Cook Out 400 predictions
For the 2025 Cook Out 400, we can tell you the model is high on Josh Berry, even though he's a longshot at +3000 in the latest 2025 NASCAR at Miami odds. He's a target for anyone looking for a huge payday. The 34-year-old is somewhat of a late bloomer, as he's only racing his second full-time season in the NASCAR Cup Series. However, he earned his first Cup win in Las Vegas two weeks ago and he's currently 12th in the NASCAR standings
Berry has qualified top 10 in four of six races this season and he's led laps in three of those races, proving that his Wood Brothers Ford has plenty of speed to compete with the bigger teams. After qualifying seventh at Martinsville last spring and finishing a disappointing 25th, he bounced back to qualify 11th on the paperclip in the fall and went on to post a respectable 16th-place finish. He was also a winner at Martinsville in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and had three top-five finishes there in six starts at that level. Berry is +3000 at DraftKings.
And a massive shocker: William Byron, one of the top Vegas favorites, stumbles big-time and fails to crack the top five. There are far better values in the 2025 Cook Out 400 starting lineup. Byron's second consecutive Daytona 500 win was his 14th overall in the NASCAR Cup Series and he currently sits atop the 2025 NASCAR standings after four top-10 finishes in the first six races this year.
However, he ran a ho-hum 12th in Miami last week despite starting in fifth and has also finished outside the top 10 in two of his last four races at Martinsville Speedway. He's led a lap in every race this season but hasn't been able to convert since Daytona and the model is predicting that he falls well short of the win again on Sunday.
