With one race remaining until the 2024 NASCAR playoff field is cut from 12 drivers to eight, the NASCAR Cup Series will head to the road course at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday. The green flag drops on the 2024 Bank of America ROVAL 400 at 2 p.m. ET and the race is scheduled for 109 laps around the Charlotte Roval. Chevrolet has won four of the six Cup races held at the Roval and road-course specialist Shane Van Gisbergen is the 5-1 favorite in the NASCAR at Charlotte odds in his Chevrolet.

He's followed by Kyle Larson (7-1), A.J. Allmendinger (15-2) and William Byron (8-1), who are all also in Chevys, in the 2024 Bank of America ROVAL 400 odds. Before entering any 2024 Bank of America ROVAL 400 picks, NASCAR DFS lineups on sites like DraftKings and FanDuel, or locking in NASCAR props on sites like PrizePicks, Sleeper Fantasy, and Underdog Fantasy, be sure to see the latest 2024 NASCAR at Charlotte predictions from SportsLine's proven projection model.

Developed by daily Fantasy pro and SportsLine predictive data engineer Mike McClure, this proprietary NASCAR prediction model simulates every race 10,000 times, taking into account factors such as track history and recent results.

It called its first winner of the 2024 season with Kyle Larson in Las Vegas for a 21-5 payout and predicted Denny Hamlin's wins in Bristol at 5-1 and Richmond at 17-4. It also impressively nailed five of Larson's wins during his historic season in 2021. All told, the model has nailed a whopping 18 winners since 2021, including nine last year and three in the first seven races this season. Anyone who followed its lead on those NASCAR picks saw huge returns.

Now, the model simulated the 2024 Bank of America ROVAL 400 10,000 times. Head to SportsLine to see the complete projected NASCAR at Charlotte leaderboard.

Top 2024 Bank of America ROVAL 400 predictions

For the 2024 Bank of America ROVAL 400, the model is high on Christopher Bell, even though he's a 14-1 longshot in the latest 2024 NASCAR at Charlotte odds. He's a target for anyone looking for a huge payday. The 29-year-old has raced for a championship in the finale each of the last two seasons and he's well-positioned once again, entering Sunday's race sitting second in the NASCAR standings.

Bell is a nine-time winner in the NASCAR Cup Series and one of those victories came at the Charlotte Roval in 2022. Bell had another road course win at Daytona in 2021 and he's finished top 10 in 48% of his career road races in a cup car, including a second-place finish in Austin at Circuit of the Americas earlier this season.

And a massive shocker: William Byron, one of the Vegas favorites, stumbles big-time and fails to crack the top five. There are far better values in the 2024 NASCAR Charlotte ROVAL starting lineup. Byron is 74 points clear of the bubble and would only miss the Round of 8 if he were penalized severely by NASCAR this weekend, so he won't be heavily incentivized.

Byron won on a road course in Austin earlier this season but he also finished 30th at Sonoma and 34th at Watkins Glen despite starting 11th or better in both races. He's finished outside the top 10 in two of his last three starts at the Charlotte road course. See which other drivers to avoid and the rest of the projected NASCAR leaderboard at SportsLine.
