NASCAR fans aren't the only ones happy that there are more road course races on the Cup schedule this season. Chase Elliott certainly is too, as he is a dominant road course ace, having won six of the last seven events on the track type. This week's Go Bowling at The Glen will be the fifth of seven road course races on the 2021 Cup schedule. Elliott, who is listed at 8-5 in the latest 2021 Go Bowling from The Glen odds from Caesars Sportsbook, is aiming for his third consecutive win at Watkins Glen International. He is also looking to tie Tony Stewart for second place on the all-time road course wins list with eight, one behind leader Jeff Gordon. The green flag drops at 3 p.m. ET.

Meanwhile, a major battle for the points lead in the Cup standings will also be in the spotlight at Watkins Glen International. It seems inevitable that Kyle Larson, listed at 9-2 odds, will pass Denny Hamlin for the top spot in the standings at some point soon. With four races left in the regular season, Hamlin has a 13-point lead over Larson. Hamlin has maintained his grip on the No. 1 spot despite not winning a race this season, while Larson leads all Cup drivers with four victories in 2021. You'll want to check out the NASCAR at Watkins Glen predictions from Micah Roberts, the legendary Vegas bookmaker who pioneered wagering on racing, before locking in any 2021 Go Bowling at The Glen picks.

Roberts is the nation's premier NASCAR betting expert, and his top pick, Chase Elliott, won the Jockey Made in America 250 in early July at 2-1 oddsHe also correctly predicted the Coca-Cola 600 winner in the final event of May, hitting Kyle Larson's win at 11-2 oddsThe previous week, he was on point at the EchoPark Texas Grand Prix, targeting Elliott as the winner at 8-5 odds.

He began a stretch of three winners in six races on April 25, when he nailed Brad Keselowski's win in the GEICO 500 at 14-1 oddsRoberts correctly called the first two races of the 2020 season and also enjoyed success the previous year, as his top four choices in each race during the 2019 NASCAR campaign returned a head-turning $3,400 to those who put down $50 on each. Anyone who has followed his picks is up huge year after year.

Now, Roberts has analyzed the field and odds for Sunday's NASCAR at Watkins Glen 2021 race. He's sharing his winner and leaderboard right here.

2021 NASCAR at Watkins Glen expert predictions

One shocker: Roberts isn't high on Truex Jr., who is listed at 11-2 odds for The Go Bowling at The Glen 2021. In fact, Roberts says Truex, who is coming off two runner-up finishes and a win in his most recent starts at Watkins Glen, barely cracks the top 10 on his projected 2021 Go Bowling at The Glen leaderboard.

"He wore the road course crown briefly until Elliott took it away emphatically and Truex hasn't won in his last eight road course starts," Roberts told SportsLine.

Another curveball: Roberts is high on Christopher Bell, even though he is a 20-1 long shot in the latest NASCAR at Watkins Glenn odds 2021. Bell has an average finish of 6.0 in the Xfinity Series at Watkins Glen and also won at the Daytona road course earlier this season.

"His only win this season came on the Daytona road course using the 750 HP package, but perhaps more important for a wager this week is that he was runner-up in his last two races using the 750 package," Roberts said. "His one Cup start last season saw him finish 28th while driving the No. 95, but he did finish fourth in the first stage."

How to make 2021 Go Bowling at the Glen picks

Roberts is also strongly recommending a driver with odds higher than 40-1 "who is going to win soon." This driver is being underestimated by oddsmakers, and anyone who backs him could hit it big. You can only see who it is here.
