Fight Island is primed for another massive event in 2021. UFC is back in Abu Dhabi with a loaded fight card featuring a pair of title fights and an international flair for for fighters (and fans) unable to make the trip to the United State amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Jan Blachowicz, owner of the UFC light heavyweight championship, will put his title on the line against veteran Glover Teixeira, who, at 42, is looking to finally reach the mountaintop of the sport after coming up short in his only other attempt at a title in 2014. Blachowicz, 38, enters on a five-fight win streak that saw him capture gold.
Meanwhile, the co-main event sees an interim bantamweight title fight between former champ Petr Yan and rising contender Cory Sandhagen.
