  • Giants' Parks Harber: Sidelined with Grade 2 strain

The Giants announced Wednesday that Harber has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 right hamstring strain and will require 4-to-6 weeks of recovery time, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

One of the top position prospects in the Giants organization, Harber wasn't in serious consideration for a spot on the Opening Day roster but had impressed nonetheless throughout the spring, slashing .357/.424/.571 over 33 Cactus League plate appearances before sustaining the hamstring injury Saturday. He now appears on track to miss at least the first month of the minor-league season while recovering from the injury, but once he's back to full health, Harber is expected to report to Double-A Richmond, according to Pavlovic.

  • Giants' Parks Harber: Dealing with right hamstring injury

Harber was removed during the seventh inning of Saturday's Cactus League game against Arizona due to a right hamstring strain, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Harber injured his right hamstring while running from first to third base, and he'll undergo more tests to determine the severity of the strain and a timeline for his return. He was expected to start the season in Double-A Corpus Christi, but this hamstring injury puts Harber in jeopardy of being sidelined for the start of the campaign.

  • Giants' Parks Harber: Leaves game with leg injury

Harber left in the seventh inning of Saturday's Cactus League game against the Diamondbacks due to an apparent leg injury, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Harber appeared to tweak his leg while running the bases from first to third. He was taken to the clubhouse to undergo further tests from medical staff, and the Astros should have an update on Harber's status over the coming days. Across three levels in the minors last year, Harber slashed .323/.413/.528 with 10 steals (on 12 attempts), 14 home runs and 83 RBI in 343 plate appearances.

  • Giants' Parks Harber: Traded to Giants

Harber (undisclosed) was traded from the Yankees to the Giants on Thursday along with Jesus Rodriguez and Trystan Vrieling in exchange for Camilo Doval, Jack Curry of YES Network reports.

Harber has been on the injured list since mid-June with an undisclosed injury. Prior to that, the 23-year-old corner infielder slashed .326/.395/.489 with three home runs and two steals in 34 games at High-A.
