Rockies' Luis Peralta: Misses out on roster spot
Colorado optioned Peralta to Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday, Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reports.
The left-hander finished 2025 working in the majors but is set to open 2026 in the minor leagues. Peralta had a 9.47 ERA and 16:18 K:BB across 19 frames in the big leagues last year, and he wasn't much better at Triple-A with a 9.09 ERA.

Rockies' Luis Peralta: Activated Wednesday
The Rockies reinstated Peralta (hip) from the injured list Wednesday.
Left hip inflammation sent Peralta onto the injured list Sept. 11, but a quick recovery will allow him to provide depth to Colorado's bullpen for the final several games of the 2025 campaign. Ryan Rolison was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding move.

Rockies' Luis Peralta: Lands on injured list
The Rockies placed Peralta on the 15-day injured list Thursday, retroactive to Monday, with left hip inflammation.
Peralta has struggled mightily in the majors this season, posting a 10.80 ERA and 2.40 WHIP across 16.2 innings alongside a 14:16 K:BB. The 24-year-old will be eligible to return before the end of the season, but the Rockies likely won't be in a rush to bring him back based on his performance and the fact that they are firmly out of contention for a postseason spot. Ryan Rolison was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Rockies' Luis Peralta: Up with big club
The Rockies recalled Peralta from Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.
The left-hander opened the season with the Rockies and had a 7.56 ERA in nine appearances before being demoted April 20. Peralta is now back in the majors despite posting an even worse 9.09 ERA over 34.2 innings at Triple-A.

Rockies' Luis Peralta: Optioned to Triple-A
Peralta was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.
Peralta will head to Triple-A after the Rockies split Sunday's doubleheader with the Nationals. The left-hander did not appear in either contest, and he'll drop down a level after posting a 7.56 ERA and 2.16 WHIP with five strikeouts over 8.1 innings in nine appearances out of Colorado's bullpen so far this year. Right-hander Jaden Hill, who was called up for Sunday's doubleheader, will remain on the 26-man roster in Peralta's place.
