Grant McCray failed to make the Giants' Opening Day and spent the majority of the 2025 season with Triple-A Sacramento, where he posted a .745 OPS with 27 steals, 15 home runs, 71 RBI and 73 runs over 510 plate appearances. He did see major-league action after being called up August 1 and was on the 26-man roster at the end of the regular season, though he operated mostly in a reserve role while seeing playing time as a defensive substitute or baserunner. McCray will likely be in Triple-A in 2026 but would be a candidate for a major-league call-up should the Giants need additional depth in the outfield.

McCray singled on a bunt in the second inning before stealing second and coming around to score.
