Strong was optioned to Triple-A Rochester.
After impressing in 49.2 innings of relief for the Brewers Double-A affiliate last year (2.54 ERA and 8.9 K/9), he struggled mightily (7.16 ERA) in 16.1 innings at Triple-A. He'll likely just add depth for Minnesota at Triple-A.

Twins' Mike Strong: Claimed by Twins
Strong was claimed off waivers by the Twins on Friday.
Strong split 2015 between Double-A and Triple-A as part of the Brewers organization, but with mixed results. After succeeding with the Double-A affiliate (2.54 ERA, 0.94 WHIP with 49 strikeouts in 49.2 innings), the 27-year-old southpaw struggled to find his footing at Triple-A, and has now been DFA'd twice in the offseason. He'll likely pitch most of the season at Triple-A, but could eventually get a shot at the majors if he does well enough.

Marlins' Mike Strong: Designated for assignment
Strong was designated for assignment on Wednesday.
After impressing in 49.2 innings of relief for the Brewers Double-A affiliate last year, he struggled mightily (7.16 ERA) in 16.1 innings at Triple-A. Look for him to spend the bulk of 2016 at Triple-A New Orleans, serving as organizational bullpen depth.

Marlins' Mike Strong: Claimed by Marlins
Strong was claimed off of waivers by the Marlins on Monday.
Strong showed some promise as he worked his way up the Brewers' organizational ladder, but it quickly faded following a 7.16 ERA and 1.86 WHIP over 16.1 innings with the team's Triple-A affiliate. However, he was pitching out of Colorado Springs, with thin air that generally favors the hitters, and the Marlins see enough in him to give the 27-year-old southpaw another shot.
