Stealing a base with batting gloves in your mouth seems fun.

My go-to line will be used again here because it's just so appropriate:

Alert the Fun Police!

Nationals superstar, reigning NL MVP and ambassador of fun in Major League Baseball Bryce Harper did indeed do what the headline above says. Here's the video footage:

It was a double steal with Michael Tayler swiping third in front of Harper but the Braves looking to cut down the hind runner. It's always possible Harper didn't know Taylor was going to go -- sometimes it happens when the lead runner has a green light -- and wasn't ready but went anyway. It's also possible that Harper was doing a little something just for fun. So what if he was? He was safe.

Relating to Harper and fun: Yes, he used the "100" bat decals. No, Fun Police commenters, they weren't photoshopped.

The Nationals won, 6-4, and are now 4-1 on the very young season. Harper has three stolen bases compared to two homers. Oh, with a .313/.522/.813 line.
