Sunday night, the Blue Jays became the first team to advance the League Championship Series round this season with a 7-6 walk-off win over the Rangers in Game 3 of the ALDS (box score). Toronto swept the best-of-five series.

The winning run scored on (what else?) a throwing error by Rougned Odor. Russell Martin hit what should have been an inning-ending double play ball in the bottom of the 10th, but Odor's throw to first pulled Mitch Moreland off the bag. Josh Donaldson raced home to score the winning series walk-off run. Here's the video:

Odor's throw was bad for sure. Moreland also has to catch that ball and control it. His bobble allowed Donaldson to score. Donaldson has to hold on at third if Moreland catches that ball cleanly and holds on, even without the out recorded at first. Alas.

As you no doubt already know, there's plenty of bad blood between Odor and the Blue Jays. Odor punched Jose Bautista back in May after Bautista slid in hard at second base. That was response to being hit by a pitch by Matt Bush, which was a response to last year's ALDS bat flip. Got all that?

The Blue Jays will now play either the Indians or Red Sox in the ALCS. Cleveland leads that series 2-0. Toronto will have a few days to enjoy their victory at Odor's expense first.
