Trevor Plouffe fractures left forearm
Twins third baseman Trevor Plouffe's season is over, as he's broken his arm.

Twins third baseman Trevor Plouffe left Wednesday's game against Arizona due to an apparent arm injury. As it turns out, it's pretty bad news, as the club has announced that he has a fractured left forearm. Obviously, with a half-week left on the schedule, Plouffe is out for the season.
Beyond this information, though, the Twins haven't provided anything, so a timetable for a return is unclear. It seems unlikely that a forearm fracture would prevent him from being ready for the beginning of next April, but we don't know the severity or how it'll heal and progress for him. So there's at least a small chance his status for 2015 is affected.
Plouffe's injury happened when he was attempting to tag A.J. Pollock out on a close play at third base. Plouffe immediately reacted as if something bad happened as his forearm hit Pollack's knee (MLB.com has the video).
Plouffe, 28, hit .258/.328/.423 with 40 doubles, 14 homers and 80 RBI this season.
