Kansas City plans to put on a parade befitting a World Series champion. Beginning at noon local time (1 pm ET) Tuesday, a caravan of vehicles with the Kansas City Royals aboard will wind its way through downtown Kansas City, Mo. and end at a rally at Union Station. The entire event is scheduled to last about 2 1/2 hours. The Royals closed out the Series on Sunday night, beating the Mets 7-2 in 12 innings in Game 5 for their first World Series championship since 1985.

What: Royals victory parade and rally.
When: Parade at noon (1 pm ET); Rally at 2 pm CT (3 pm ET).
Where: The 2.3 mile parade route begins on Grand Boulevard at the Sprint Center (1407 W. Grand). It will travel north to Ninth Street, turning east to Oak Street, turning south to Truman Road, turning west to Grand, turning south to Pershing, finishing at Union Station (30 W. Pershing) for the rally.
Watch on TV: MLB Network, along with Fox Sports Kansas City and Fox Sports Midwest will broadcast the parade and rally live. FSKC will repeat the broadcast at 2:30 pm and 7 pm, and again Thursday at 7 pm.
