What was speculated has apparently become reality - the Twins have promoted pitching prospect Trevor May to start Saturday in Oakland, according to various reports.
The 23-year-old May has overcome occasional control problems to compile an 8-6 mark and 2.93 ERA this season at Triple-A Rochester. He has yielded just 75 hits with 91 strikeouts in 95 1/3 innings, but has walked 37.
