A Seattle tradition is having someone (usually famous and tied to the area) raise the "12" flag for the 12th man prior to Seahawks games in CenturyLink Field. Sunday the honor went to Hall of Fame baseball player and former Mariners star Randy Johnson.

He noted that it was "like old times" on his Instagram account:

NFL.com has a video of the flag raising which includes an interview with Johnson and some great throwback highlights from some of his biggest moments with the Mariners.

Another shot and a fan YouTube of it:

Get this, though. Johnson didn't just stick around to watch the game. He shot it.

Johnson has been a photographer the past few years since retiring from baseball. From his website rj51photos.com, here's some of his background:

Beginning with my first summer vacation in 26 years in 2010,I shot motorsports, concerts, people & places. I’ve been privileged to take seven USO tours to visit our men and women who serve our Country. Iraq, Kuwait, Okinawa, Cuba, South Korea, Italy, Afghanistan, Africa and Germany (God Bless Our Troops!). I’ve also been a contributing photographer for major media outlets with many photos featured in Stars And Strips Magazine, Rolling Stone Magazine, Spin Magazine, Metal Hammer Magazine, Score Baseball Card Company, AOL Online. Also have been on the road with several friends working to capture moments on stage to have them used in Tour Programs, Posters, T-shirts, Books, CD booklets and band Web-Sites.

What a well-rounded life for the the Big Unit.
