The Hanwha Eagles are sitting at the bottom of the KBO standings, but they're coming off an impressive upset win over the Doosan Bears on Saturday where they were whopping +280 underdogs. The Eagles and Bears will go head-to-head again on Sunday and the Bears are once again the prohibitive favorites at -280 in the latest KBO odds. So can Hanwha (+226) score another big payout for their money line backers on Sunday?

Meanwhile, the Samsung Lions are riding a five-game winning streak into Sunday's action but they're still +102 underdogs against the LG Twins (-120) on Sunday. With Lions backers earning over $1,200 profit on $100 money line bets so far this season, does Samsung remain a must-back for KBO bettors? Before locking in any KBO picks for Sunday's games, be sure to see the Korean baseball best bets from SportsLine data engineer Mike McClure.

Recognized in the book "Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn your hobby into a Fortune" as a top Daily Fantasy Baseball Player, McClure has won almost $2 million in daily Fantasy sports. And in 2016, McClure launched the wOBA Projection Model for MLB picks, which has returned $2,300 to $100 bettors.

Now, he's turned his attention to the KBO and locked in three strong picks for Sunday. Parlaying his three selections would pay out over 5-1. You can only see them here

Top Korean Baseball predictions for July 5

One of McClure's top KBO picks for Sunday: He's backing the Kiwoom Heroes (-142) to take advantage of a favorable pitching matchup against the KT Wiz. The Heroes are second in the 2020 KBO standings entering Sunday and their plus-65 run differential is also the second best in the league behind the first-place NC Dinos.

"Kiwoom offers nice value as -142 road favorites against KT," McClure told SportsLine. "I like the matchup for Kiwoom offensively against Kin Min Su. I make Kiwoom -168 favorites."

The Heroes have two of the games most talented young players in Ha Seong Kim and Jung Hoo Park and both could have MLB futures. However, their greatest strength is arguably their bullpen, as they lead the KBO in bullpen ERA (4.26). Closer Sang Woo Jo has posted a 0.93 ERA this season and he's 12-for-12 in save opportunities.
