Nationals outfielder Denard Span is not happy with the way he's played in Washington, according to The Washington Post

Span admitted he's had some decent at-bats, but overall isn't satisfied with his numbers. "I’ve held my own. I’ve had some good at-bats. But there’s still a lot of baseball left. I’m trying to get to where I can and where I’m used to being. The first [10] weeks, I wouldn’t say I’m thrilled about, but I’m content because it could be a lot worse," Span said.

Span added that he feels like pitchers are attacking him aggressively this year, making it tough for him to take pitches. He still has been able to average the highest pitches-per-plate appearance rate of his career this season.

Span has a .256/.312/.349 slash line in 258 at-bats.
