Brewers center fielder Carlos Gomez is enjoying a monster breakout campaign in 2013. Unfortunately, it appears that will be temporarily derailed due to an injury.
In the fourth inning of Sunday afternoon's game against the Braves, Gomez made a leaping catch against the wall to rob Andrelton Simmons of extra bases. He immediately crumpled to the ground, screaming in pain and holding his left shoulder. He was removed from the game.

The Brewers later announced the injury is a sprained shoulder, and Gomez is listed as day to day. So it appears he dodged a bullet here.
As Brewers beat writer Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel noted on Twitter, Gomez fractured his left collarbone in 2011.
Gomez, 27, is hitting .313/.355/.570 with 18 doubles, eight triples, 12 homers and 15 stolen bases this season and would be a great bet to make his first All-Star Game if he's healthy.
