Astros starting pitcher Brad Peacock finally broke his winless drought and won for the first time in six starts this season during Sunday's 8-2 victory against the White Sox. He allowed two runs on five hits and four walks, while striking out five in 6 2/3 innings.

Peacock (1-4) opened up the game by retiring the first six batters he faced. He ran into some trouble in the third inning, but by then he was pitching with a four-run lead. Peacock walked the first two batters in the third before Adrian Nieto had an RBI single. Adam Eaton loaded the bases with a single, but Peacock worked out of the jam by getting a double play and fly out to deep center.

The only other run Peacock would allow was an RBI double to Nieto in the seventh inning, which chased Peacock from the game with two outs. Josh Fields struck out Eaton, stranding the two runners Peacock put on base.

His next scheduled start is for Friday at Seattle.
