Tiger Woods has reportedly finalized his new contract with Nike, and it would seem both sides are happy with the results (as they probably should be).

On Wednesday, Woods' agent, Mark Steinberg, said the contract was actually signed two weeks ago in Florida. Shockingly, no details were released about the financial terms or length of the contract itself as Woods' previous seven-year Nike contract was up this year.

Steinberg told ESPN on Wednesday he was excited to finally seal the deal on the new agreement.

"We're comfortable with where we ended up and the career trajectory that Tiger will be on with Nike. I'm thrilled we were able to complete this deal."

Nike is equally enamored.

"We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Tiger," said Cindy Davis, president of Nike Golf. "He is one of Nike's most iconic athletes and has played an integral part in Nike Golf's growth since the very beginning."

It's not like this was ever going to get very far off the rails -- the deal means too much to both sides to let that happen. I mean, can you even imagine the sight of Woods in a Callaway or TaylorMade cap?

No, you can't.

Steinberg referenced this earlier in the summer when he said the Woods-Nike deal was really close to getting done.

"This process went as such where I never had to get out in the market to test the waters in a formal way. That's a good thing, because I think some of the most memorable moments throughout Tiger's career to date are linked with Nike."

I'm also interested to see what Woods dabbles in in terms of product development and his business relationships. We've seen him try (and sometimes fail) to build courses and resorts all over the world, but his Nike endeavors for the most part have been successful.

Steinberg referenced that saying, "Look at his shoe -- that is something he created with Nike. That's a workout and a golf shoe in one. That's an example of them really working together. They've done that for 17 years. I think you're going to see more and more of that and maybe a more pinpointed direct approach."

That's good for Tiger, to leave his mark on something off the course as well as on.

And good for Nike, too.
