Scottie Scheffler's year keeps on getting better ... and his bank account keeps getting bigger. Scheffler on Monday was awarded an $8 million bonus, the top prize from the 2024 Comcast Business Tour top 10, which basically hands out additional funds to golfers who play the best over a given regular season.

This season alone, Scheffler has picked up seven overall wins, including his second Masters, second Players Championship and a gold medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics two Sundays ago. His on-course earnings totaled $28.1 million with his sum now soaring to $36.1 million after this $8 million payout, which is $2 million better than Xavier Schauffele will earn for second place.

Scheffler's other four victories all came in signature events. His six PGA Tour wins are the most since Tiger Woods won as many times back in 2009. Woods went on to win the FedEx Cup and $10 million despite losing to Phil Mickelson by three at the Tour Championship.

This week marks the start of this year's FedEx Cup Playoffs with an even bigger $25 million prize at stake once players get to East Lake in for the Tour Championship. In total, there is a $100 million purse at stake throughout the FedEx Cup Playoffs with the eventual winner receiving a quarter of that. Second prize isn't bad either at $12.5 million, and third place bring shome $7.5 million.

Whoever leads the FedEx Cup at the beginning of the Tour Championship will start at 10 under for that last tournament and have an edge on the other 29 players in the Tour Championship, most of whom will start the event at 2 under, 1 under or even par. There will not be a repeat of 2009 as the winner of the Tour Championship will also be the winner of the FedEx Cup.

The three-year run Scheffler has been on remains incredible. He has earned nearly $100 million just from the PGA Tour.

Here's a look at the 2022-24 breakdown.

202220232024Total
On course$14.0 million$21.0 million$28.1 million$63.2 million
FedEx Cup$5.8 million$2.0 millionTBD$7.8 million
Comcast top 10$4.0 million$3.0 million$8.0 million$15.0 million
PIP$5.5 million$6.0 millionTBD$11.5 million
Total $29.3 million$32.0 million$36.1 million$97.5 million

That figure will only increase with three events left in the season, the FedEx bonus (first prize is $25 million) and the Player Impact Program earnings from later this year. There is a decent chance that Scheffler will surpass $130 million for this insane three-year run.
