Hurricanes' Logan Stankoven: Deposits empty-netter
Stankoven scored an empty-net goal on five shots, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Rangers. Stankoven has scored in back-to-back games, though his tally Saturday was a bit of a freebie as the Rangers clung desperately to their last moments in the playoff race. The 22-year-old has four goals over his last seven contests, and he's up to 14 tallies, 23 assists, 191 shots on net, 46 hits and a plus-3 rating over 75 appearances between the Hurricanes and the Stars this season.... Hurricanes' Logan Stankoven: Stretches lead with goal
Stankoven scored a goal on five shots and added 12 PIM in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Capitals. Stankoven extended the Hurricanes' lead to 4-0 in the middle of the second period. He was also involved in hostilities at the end of the contest, leading to a misconduct penalty after he mixed it up with Tom Wilson. Stankoven hasn't taken off as a scorer with the Hurricanes, but he has six points and 27 shots on net over 11 appearances since he was flipped in the Mikko Rantanen deal with the Stars. For the season, Stankoven is at 12 goals, 35 points, 175 shots on net, 45 hits and a plus-2 rating across 70 games.... See More ... See Less -

He's up to 11 goals, 23 assists, 170 shots on net, 44 hits and a plus-1 rating over 69 appearances this season.... See More ... See Less -
Hurricanes' Logan Stankoven: Tallies first helper with Carolina
Stankoven tallied an assist and registered three shots on goal in Saturday's 5-0 victory over Philadelphia. Stankoven's first assist with the Canes led the way for another first to occur -- Scott Morrow's first career NHL goal. The 22-year-old Stankoven now has 21 assists, 31 points and 157 shots on goal in 63 appearances this season. He has two points since beginning his tenure with Carolina. Stankoven has slotted into the Canes' third line and second power-play unit. With his upgraded role and ability to get shots on goal, Stankoven has some value in deeper leagues and is a name to keep an eye on ahead of the fantasy playoffs.... See More ... See Less -
Stars' Logan Stankoven: Picks up power-play helper
Stankoven logged a power-play assist and three shots on goal in Friday's 4-3 win over the Golden Knights. Stankoven ended a four-game slump when he helped out on a Roope Hintz tally. The 21-year-old Stankoven has six points over his last nine outings, and he's earned three of his four assists in that span on the power play. The rookie forward is at six goals, 18 assists, 126 shots on net, 30 hits and a minus-1 rating across 46 appearances in a middle-six role.... See More ... See Less -
Stars' Logan Stankoven: Helps out on power play
Stankoven provided a power-play assist in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Senators. Stankoven is warming up a little with two assists over his last three contests. The 21-year-old has had no luck with finishing lately -- he's on a 25-game goal drought and has come up empty on 65 shots in that span while adding just six helpers. The talented rookie has 20 points, 111 shots on net, 25 hits and an even plus-minus rating through 40 appearances. He'll likely remain in a third-line role, as the Stars have found some success with a more veteran top six in recent weeks.... See More ... See Less -
Stars' Logan Stankoven: Registers assist Thursday
Stankoven provided an assist, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Flyers. Stankoven has been limited to four assists over 17 contests since the start of December. The 21-year-old has somewhat gotten lost in the shuffle, as the Stars' top six started to click in January with Stankoven filling a third-line role. He has 19 points, 103 shots on net, 25 hits and a plus-1 rating over 38 appearances. It's part of the price of being a rookie on a contending team -- Stankoven will play in whatever spot most benefits the team's results even if it's not ideal for his individual production.... Stars' Logan Stankoven: Records helper in loss
Stankoven logged an assist and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Kings. Stankoven has received a chance to join Matt Duchene and Mason Marchment on the second line following the news that Tyler Seguin (hip) will be out for at least four months. Stankoven's helper came on a Marchment goal in the first period. Stankoven has just two assists over his last eight outings, putting him at 16 points, 63 shots on net, 16 hits and a plus-3 rating through 23 appearances. He's talented enough to handle top-six minutes, but that second-line spot will likely come down to whichever forward has the most chemistry with the established members of the line.... See More ... Stankoven (lower body) will return to action for Monday's game against Utah, Mike Heika of the Stars' official site reports. The helper was Stankoven's second in as many games and his fifth of the year across four contests. The 21-year-old rookie has added 10 shots on net and a plus-3 rating. While he began the season on the first line, Stankoven was down to a third-line role for the second game in a row Tuesday, though he saw his most ice time in any game (17:51) in this contest, as the Stars tend to balance the usage across the top-nine forwards.... The 21-year-old forward is at eight points, 33 shots on net, 21 hits, 17 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating over 18 playoff outings. He'll likely continue to see middle-six minutes as the Stars look to keep their season alive in Game 6 on Sunday.... See More ... See Less -
Stars' Logan Stankoven: Tallies twice in Game 3
Stankoven scored a pair of goals, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Avalanche in Game 3. Predictably, adjusting to the playoffs has been tougher for the 21-year-old rookie than it was when he came up for the last quarter of the regular season. Stankoven is up to four points, 22 shots on net, 15 hits, eight blocked shots and a plus-3 rating through 10 playoff contests. He's seen some even-strength time on the first line, but his usage overall is more limited than that role would suggest, as head coach Pete DeBoer is likely trying to shelter Stankoven, especially on the road.... Stars' Logan Stankoven: Picks up helper in win
Stankoven logged an assist in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Kraken. Stankoven helped out on a Wyatt Johnston tally late in the second period. The assist snapped a three-game dry spell for Stankoven, who has quieted down after a loud run of offense following his NHL debut in February. Stankoven scored a goal on three shots, doled out three hits and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Coyotes. Stankoven had been playing on an emergency recall, but that switched to a normal recall following Tyler Seguin's return from a lower-body injury. This may mean less paper transactions for Stankoven going forward, cementing what's already known -- he's an NHL-ready forward. He's got a point in each of the last two games and he's up to six goals, four assists and 31 shots on net through 12 NHL outings overall.... See More ... See Less -

Stankoven notched an assist, two shots on goal, two hits and two blocked shots in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Kings. Stankoven snapped a four-game point drought with his helper on a Wyatt Johnston goal in the first period. The Stars continue to shuffle Stankoven between the NHL and AHL on paper, but it's almost certain he's set to stay with the big club. He's contributed a strong nine points with 28 shots on net, 11 hits and a plus-3 rating over his first 11 NHL outings.... See More ... See Less -
Stars' Logan Stankoven: Demoted to AHL

Stars' Logan Stankoven: Sent to AHL
Stankoven was reassigned to AHL Texas on Friday, The Score's Kyle Cushman reports. This is likely just a paper transaction as Stankoven has been outstanding during his short stint with the Stars. Stankoven has five goals and eight points in his first six NHL games, including two goals and a pair of assists Tuesday in a 7-6 overtime win over San Jose. The move keeps Stankoven eligible for the AHL playoffs and he'll almost certainly be recalled ahead of Friday's game in Anaheim.... See More ... See Less -
