Sillinger scored a goal and went plus-3 in Saturday's 7-0 win over the Capitals. Sillinger stretched the Blue Jackets' lead to 6-0 at 5:14 of the second period. The 21-year-old hadn't scored since Feb. 2 -- he was limited to four assists over 14 games in that span and missed 11 contests due to a shoulder injury. That injury has derailed an otherwise solid campaign for the center, who has 10 goals, 31 points, 127 shots on net, 72 hits and a minus-12 rating over 63 appearances, one point shy of matching his career-best total from last season.... Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Nabs helper in return
Sillinger logged an assist and three shots on goal in Friday's 7-6 shootout win over the Canucks. Sillinger returned from an 11-game absence due to a shoulder injury and picked up his assist in 14:50 of ice time. He was on the third line and also featured on the second power-play unit. The 21-year-old forward has reached the 30-point mark in three of his four NHL seasons, doing so with nine goals and 21 helpers in 2024-25. He's added 117 shots on net, 62 hits, 31 blocked shots and a minus-14 rating across 55 appearances, and he needs just three more points to set a career high.... See More ... See Less -
Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Lands on IR
Sillinger (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday. Sillinger's designation for injured reserve is essentially a formality after general manager Don Waddell told reporters Tuesday that the 21-year-old center is expected to miss several weeks due to his shoulder injury. The Blue Jackets activated Yegor Chinakhov from injured reserve in a corresponding move. Joseph LaBate and Mikael Pyyhtia could see more ice time as a result of Sillinger facing an extended absence.... See More ... See Less -
Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Sustains injury Thursday
Sillinger (upper body) won't return to Thursday's game versus the Red Wings. Sillinger was hurt in the first period of the contest. He should be considered day-to-day until the Blue Jackets provide another update. Sillinger is questionable to play in Saturday's Stadium Series game, which is a rematch against the Red Wings.... Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Contributes two helpers Saturday
Sillinger notched two assists, two hits, two blocked shots, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Blackhawks. This was Sillinger's first multi-point effort since Dec. 5. The 21-year-old center reached the 20-assist mark for the first time in his career, but he's still three points shy of matching his output from 2023-24 since he hasn't scored efficiently. He's at 29 points, 113 shots on net, 60 hits, 30 blocked shots, 35 PIM and a minus-14 rating over 52 appearances in 2024-25.... See More ... See Less -
Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Scores again Sunday
Sillinger scored a goal in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Stars. Sillinger has two goals, one assist and two shots on net over three games since he returned from an upper-body injury. The 21-year-old center is up to nine tallies, 26 points, 108 shots on net, 58 hits and a minus-14 rating over 48 appearances. He doesn't have a track record of maintaining offense over long stretches -- his current three-game point streak is his longest of the season -- but he's worth a look in fantasy while filling a second-line role.... Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Unavailable Saturday
Sillinger (upper body) won't play against Los Angeles on Saturday, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports. Sillinger will miss his third straight game. The 21-year-old center has seven goals and 16 assists over 45 appearances this season. It remains unclear when he will be available to return to the lineup. The Blue Jackets embark on a four-game road trip after Saturday's contest, starting in Vegas on Thursday.... See More ... See Less -
Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Won't play Thursday
Sillinger (upper body) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Hurricanes, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports. Sillinger was considered a game-time decision for Thursday's matchup, but he'll be unavailable for a second consecutive game due to his upper-body injury. His next chance to suit up will be Saturday against the Kings.... See More ... See Less -
Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Game-time decision Thursday
Sillinger (upper body) will be a game-time decision in Carolina on Thursday, according to Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site. Sillinger sat out Wednesday's tilt in Toronto after playing 19:10 against the Islanders on Monday. The 21-year-old has seven goals and 23 points in 45 games this season. Should Sillinger be healthy enough to play, Jordan Harris could be a healthy scratch with Jack Johnson returning to the blue line.... See More ... See Less -
Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Scores in return to lineup
Sillinger scored a power-play goal in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Blues. Sillinger missed the 6-2 win over the Kraken on Thursday due to an illness, but the 21-year-old center returned to action and found the back of the net in the latter stages of the second frame with a power-play tally to give Columbus a 2-0 lead. This was Sillinger's first goal since Dec. 17, when he notched a power-play tally in a 5-3 loss to the Lightning. He's up to 23 points in 41 games this season, racking up seven goals and 16 assists, and he seems to be trending in the right direction after cracking the scoresheet in three of his last four appearances.... Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Considered game-time decision
Sillinger is considered a game-time decision for Thursday's matchup against the Kraken due to an illness, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports. Sillinger has missed just one game over the first half of the regular season, but he's dealing with an illness that is threatening his availability for Thursday. The Blue Jackets are dealing with several injuries among their forwards, so Owen Sillinger is a candidate to enter the lineup against Seattle.... See More ... See Less -
Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Pots goal Saturday
Sillinger scored a goal on three shots, added two hits and went minus-3 in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Ducks. Sillinger ended a three-game slump with his first-period tally. The Blue Jackets have been shuffling Sillinger and Adam Fantilli between the second and third lines lately, though that's not as much of a problem since the team has been surprisingly effective on offense. Sillinger is at five goals, 19 points, 70 shots on net, 38 hits and a minus-7 rating through 29 appearances and should be a decent depth option in fantasy for the year.... See More ... See Less -
Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Injured in Winnipeg
Sillinger (lower body) won't return to Sunday's game against the Jets. Sillinger was unable to play in the third period Sunday after blocking a shot in the second period. The 21-year-old had one block and one hit in 8:44 of ice time before departing. An update on Sillinger's status should surface before Tuesday's home contest against the Flyers.... See More ... Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Goal, assist in loss
Sillinger scored a goal on two shots and added an assist in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Oilers. Sillinger set up Damon Severson's second-period tally before scoring one of his own in the final frame. The goal was Sillinger's first since Nov. 15, though he had six assists over seven contests in between tallies. The 21-year-old forward is looking good in a second-line role this season, racking up four goals, 13 helpers, 58 shots on net, 35 hits and a minus-4 rating over 24 appearances.... See More ... Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Returns to action Friday
Sillinger (upper body) will return to the lineup Friday against Calgary, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports. Sillinger sat out Wednesday in Montreal after missing a pair of practices. He has three goals and 12 points in 20 games. Look for Sillinger to replace Yegor Chinakhov (upper body) in the lineup.... Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Won't play Wednesday
Sillinger (upper body) won't play Wednesday versus Montreal, per Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site. Sillinger sat out two straight practices before being ruled out for Wednesday's game. He has accounted for three goals, 12 points, 48 shots on net, 13 blocked shots and 34 hits through 20 appearances this season. Sillinger will be replaced in Wednesday's lineup by James van Riemsdyk.... See More ... See Less -
Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Provides pair of assists
Sillinger logged two assists and two blocked shots in Thursday's 7-6 overtime win over the Lightning. Sillinger set up Yegor Chinakhov on a second-period tally and also fed Zach Werenski for the game-winning goal 1:26 into overtime. While it's a young forward group, the Blue Jackets could roll three scoring lines now that Kent Johnson is healthy again. As such, there's no reason to worry about Sillinger's third-line placement from Thursday -- he led all Columbus forwards with 17:55 of ice time in this contest. The 21-year-old center has four points over his last four games and is up to three goals, nine assists, 41 shots on net, 33 hits and a minus-5 rating over 19 appearances for the season.... Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Three-point effort against Oilers
Sillinger delivered a goal and two assists in Monday's 6-1 win over Edmonton. It was the first multi-point performance of the season for the 21-year-old. Sillinger has moved into a prominent role for Columbus, skating on the second line with Adam Fantilli at even strength while also working on the top power-play unit, and the assignment is beginning to lead to production. Sillinger was the 12th overall pick in the 2021 Draft, and he may be coming into his own.... See More ... See Less -
Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Receives top-line look
Sillinger posted an assist, three shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Maple Leafs. Sillinger started the year on the third line, but head coach Dean Evason's lineup shuffle saw Sillinger take over on the top line while Yegor Chinakhov moved down to the second line. Sillinger was able to draw his assist on Kirill Marchenko's third-period tally. Through six outings, Sillinger has a goal, three helpers, 14 shots on net, eight hits and six PIM. His fantasy value receives an instant boost if he can stay in his new role, as the 21-year-old has the scoring chops to handle increased responsibilities.... See More ... See Less -
Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Scores team's lone goal in loss
Sillinger scored a goal on four shots, blocked three shots and added three hits in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Rangers. Sillinger gave Columbus some hope when he scored on a rebound after Igor Shesterkin gave the puck away behind the Rangers' net in the third period, but the Blue Jackets were unable to solve Shesterkin the rest of the night. The goal was Sillinger's ninth, and the 20-year-old forward is up to 21 points through 53 games, putting him on pace to finish right around his rookie season total of 31 points from 2021-22. However, he's put up only two points since Jan. 25.... See More ... See Less
