Oettinger is expected to start in Friday's preseason home game versus Colorado, per Brian Rea of Bally Sports Southwest.
Oettinger got the nod Wednesday and stopped 17 of 18 shots across two periods in Dallas' 5-2 victory over the Wild. He'll once again serve for two frames in Friday's action as he continues to get ready for his role as the Stars' No. 1 goaltender during the regular season ahead of projected backup Casey DeSmith. For the upcoming exhibition contest against Colorado, Ben Kraws is scheduled to step in for the third.
