Tierney is dealing with an upper-body injury that will keep him out at least the next four games after traveling back to Ottawa, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
Initial reports indicated Tierney was under the weather but it appears that the Ontario native sustained a more serious injury. Given his recovery timeline, the 27-year-old center will likely find himself on injured reserve in order to create a spot on the roster for Josh Norris (shoulder), who will return to action versus Florida on Thursday.
